Ertiga Facelift 2022 gains new engine with better mileage, more features apart from cosmetic updates.
Launched back in 2018, Ertiga received facelift a few days back. With the increasing competition from Kia Carens, the MPV received a big update. Here are all the changes over the old iteration:
1 Exterior Changes
Changes on the outside are minimalistic. Front grille has a mesh type chrome finish. Wheel size is still 15-inch while the design is all new.
Apart from the four colour options, Ertiga facelift can now be had in two new exterior paints – Splendid Silver and Dignity Brown.
2 Interior Changes
Like the exterior, updates inside the cabin are pretty less. Dashboard has a Metallic teak wooden finish along with change in the form of new dual tone seat fabric.

While most of the aspects remains untouched, the new engine and gearbox ensures the kerb weight goes up by 15 kgs to 85 kgs. Gross vehicle weight is also increased from 30 kgs to 90 kgs.
Maruti Ertiga continues to be underpinned by the same HEARTECT platform.

With the new 1.5-litre K15C petrol coming in, power has gone down by 2 BHP while torque is reduced by 1.2 NM. Fuel economy has considerably gone up, especially for automatic.

With the CNG, it is now 4 BHP and 0.5 NM less powerful than before. As a result of this, there is a bit rise in fuel economy too.
Also, apart from VXi trim, CNG is now available in feature rich ZXI trim.
5 New Features
Ertiga facelift now offers many more premium equipments like 4 airbags (only in top model), new 7-inch Maruti SmartPlay Pro system with Suzuki Connect (40+ features), voice command, Amazon Alexa.
Other new features are cruise control, paddle shifters and automatc headlamps.

New variants added are ZXI Plus Top model with automatic gearbox and CNG in ZXI model.
Price hike has been pretty high, for variants like VXI AT, ZXI, ZXI AT and top model.
