A New Ola S1 Rival has launched which promises 159 KM Range in Single Charge at Rs. 1.37 Lakh!

Ather Energy has officially expanded its Rizta electric scooter lineup with the introduction of a new variant, the Rizta S 3.7kWh. Priced at Rs 1.37 lakh (ex-showroom), this new variant aims to strike a balance between range and value, sitting between the base Rizta 2.9kWh and the top-end Rizta Z 3.7kWh.

Designed for Practical Daily Commutes

The Ather Rizta S retains the family-focused design language and comfort-centric layout seen on other Rizta models. It features a spacious 34-litre underseat storage area which can be further expanded by 22 litres with an optional Frunk. The seat is among the widest and longest in its class, making it ideal for two-up riding, while the expansive floorboard and relaxed handlebar placement enhance comfort during city commutes.

It comes equipped with a 7-inch DeepView LCD display that supports turn-by-turn navigation. The scooter also features AutoHold, Fall Safe, Emergency Stop Signal, Tow and Theft Alerts, and Find My Scooter functionality. Alexa voice integration and support for over-the-air updates further add to its tech appeal. The Rizta S also offers access to Ather Grid, which now covers over 3,900 charging stations across India.

Large Battery with 159 KM Range

Powering the Ather Rizta S is a 3.7kWh battery pack, the same unit used in the Rizta Z 3.7kWh. This battery offers an IDC-certified range of 159 km on a single charge. Performance figures remain consistent with the rest of the Rizta range, delivering the same power and torque output with a top speed limited to 80 km/h. The S variant, however, skips premium features like the colour TFT display and certain design embellishments seen on the Z variant, making it a more value-driven offering.

Bookings Open with 8-Year Battery Warranty

Bookings for the Ather Rizta S 3.7kWh have commenced through all Ather Experience Centres and online platforms, with deliveries beginning from July 2025. It also comes with Ather’s comprehensive battery protection plan known as the ‘Eight70’ warranty, which offers 8 years or 80,000 km of coverage with guaranteed 70% battery health retention. This warranty is available as part of Ather’s Pro Pack.

With over 1 lakh Rizta units sold between July 2024 and May 2025, the launch of the Rizta S strengthens Ather’s hold in the family electric scooter segment. Positioned to cater to buyers who seek extended range without paying a premium for additional features, the Rizta S is set to become a strong contender against rivals like TVS iQube, Bajaj Chetak, and Hero Vida.
