Kia has been spotted conducting high-altitude tests with the ICE variant of the Carens Facelift in India, signaling upcoming updates to this popular MPV. Here’s a detailed look at what we can expect in terms of exterior design, interior layout, and features.

Exterior Design

The 2024 Kia Carens prototype was spotted sporting noticeable five-spoke alloy wheels, likely 17 inches in size. The front fascia, reminiscent of the Kia EV5, stands out with L-shaped LED DRLs integrated within the headlamp units, connected by a sleek LED light bar. The headlamps appear to be LED projectors, with higher trims expected to offer a full LED setup. The rear profile highlights C-shaped connected LED tail lamps and subtle tweaks to both the front and rear bumpers, giving the Carens a refreshed yet familiar look.

Interior Layout

While the interior of the facelift Carens remains under wraps, it is anticipated to draw inspiration from the Kia Seltos. Expect a free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment, new 10.25-inch fully digital cluster to dominate the dashboard, and a new Kia K4 Sedan [sold internationally] type steering wheel. The center console and dashboard are likely to see some refinements, adding to the cabin’s modern appeal.
