The most popular option for those looking to upgrade to a more hassle-free and cost-effective vehicle these days is CNG. Automakers are developing new models as a result to meet the needs of CNG buyers across all market segments.

New Gen. Maruti Swift:

Maruti’s Heartect Platform will be used for construction.

New Tata Nexon i-cng:

The design will remain the same, with no deviations from the current generation of Nexon.

The only interior modifications are a new CNG level indication on the digital instrument cluster and an i-CNG switch.

It will have a spare wheel fitted underneath and a dual-cng tank configuration for a flat boot space.

Its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, which is akin to the Nexon’s, will generate 118.27 Bhp and 170 Nm of peak torque. i-CNG technology, with its NGV1 nozzle, enables quick CNG refilling.

Capabilities to initiate the engine in CNG mode as well.

It will be getting a 6-speed manual transmission along with an AMT version later, similar to the recently launched Tiago and Tigor.

Price: Between Rs. 8 lakhs and Rs. 15 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Launch: First Half of 2024.
