In this summer season, we all are finding ways to keep our cars cool. And just turning on the AC after the car is left under the sun for a long time doesn’t make any sense. So to avoid this problem, a doctor from Madhya Pradesh has plastered his Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 with cow dung. You all must have seen that the houses in remote areas or villages are not made up of cement and bricks, they rather use a mixture of cow dung and some kind of sand that keeps the cow dung in its place. Now to get over this heat wave a doctor from Madhya Pradesh has done the same but on his car, he plastered his Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 to avoid the metal surface of the car from heating up and keeping the car cool from the inside. The video has been uploaded by Kanak News on their youtube channel which shows this incident. This same incident has been recorded in Maharashtra where a Toyota Corolla Altis was covered in cow dung to keep the car cool.
Side effects of the heat wave
So we are aware of the fact that bumpers of cars are made from fiber, as it is the most crashed part of any car, whether it be the front bumper or the rear bumper. Fiber is generally plastic but is much more durable and handles some normal damages. Now, the temperature is supposed to be over 100 degrees Celsius to melt any material. But you will be amazed to know about an unusual incident that happened with Saurav Nahata, a resident of Bangalore. He recently shared a twit where he mentions that the left bumper and the grille of his car have melted because of the car standing in the direct sunlight for 10hrs. He mentions that he had been using Tata Harrier since 2021. He bought the car because of the positive review and excellent built quality. He also stated that now, Tata Motors are now asking him to pay for the repairs. However, the temperature was just under 35 degrees Celsius. It’s still confusing how it all happened.
Tata Harrier Specifications
The Tata Harrier has been in the market since the year 2018. It competes against the Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. The car is based on the OmegaArc platform which is basically a re-designed D8 platform of Jaguar Land Rover. The car is powered by only one engine option which is the diesel variant. It gets a 2.0L turbocharged engine that produces 168bhp of maximum power and 350nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated with the 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT gearbox.
