
Kia was spotted testing the Sonet in Korea as the test mule was from India and is expected to launch in 2024 and therefore here are the top 5 features that will change the C-SUVs segment forever!
New Headlamps & Taillamps!
The facelift will get crisper headlamp design and piano-black finished grille which is newly designed as well. The headlamps appears to be connected with the fog lamps vertically which might be used as LED DRLs or turn indicators. There will be new bumper as well with large fog-lamps. At the rear, the Sonet has L-shaped tail lamps similar to the one seen on the upcoming Seltos where as the current one has straight tail lamps with cube-shaped light inside the tail lamps which works as brake lights and for parking lights.

Kia could replace the 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine with the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, the same Kia earlier updated the Carens with. The 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine produced 118.36 bhp and 172 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed iMT and 7-speed DCT Gearbox. This 1.5-litre turbo petrol produces 157 bhp and 253 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT Gearbox. This engine will be RDE and E20 compliant as well.
New Features!
Kia Sonet already is feature-loaded such as ventilated seats, 7-speaker Bose sound system, LED headlights, height adjustable driver seat, automatic climate control, cruise control, rear AC vents, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto wireless, connected car tech, Heads-up Display (HUD), and voice commands. In safety, it get six airbags, Traction control, ABS with EBD, ESC, Hill hold assist, and ISOFIX anchorages. Kia could add the 360-degree camera in Sonet, 8-speaker Bose Premium sound system which will be an upgrade over the 7-speaker Bose Premium sound system
New Dual Displays setup!
The Upcoming Seltos Facelift will be having a dual displays of 10.25-inch which is improved and much better than the current-gen Seltos. Kia could possibly add the dual-displays since it has the integrated infotainment system with digital instrument cluster in the current-gen Sonet. With this dual display setup, it’ll one big unit where one part will be the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and other will be the 10.25-inch infotainment system, and will have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android auto.
Improved Safety Features
Other than the 360-degree camera feature, Kia could add disc brakes for all the wheels to shorter the braking distance during emergency situations. Moreover, all variants will have six airbags as standard as the Government of India had announced that from October 1st, 2023, no carmaker will be allowed to sell the models unless all variants of that model has six airbags and three-point seatbelt.
