TVS Motors posted the Sales Figures for the two-wheelers and recorded 3.19 lakh unit sales in May 2023.
TVS Motors has revealed their sales figures for two wheelers and three-wheelers as it reported sales of 3.30 lakh units which 9.12% growth over the last year.

TVS Motors released the sales figures of May 2023 and the numbers it has put across the two-wheelers and three-wheelers domestic and exports sales are good, though it does suffer from less sales as well. Starting with the Electric Scooter, i.e. TVS iQube, it recorded 17,953 unit sales in May 2023 against the 2,637 units in May 2022 with year-on-year growth by 580.81% and volume growth by 15,316 units. It also improved from 6,227 units in April 2023 with 188.31% month-on-month growth and volume growth by 11,726 units. TVS reported that more than 30,000 orders of the TVS iQube are pending and could improved the supplies in the future.
The Motorcycle category which consists of – Apache, Raider, Sport, reports improvement in sales from 1,48,569 units in May 2022 to 1,62,248 units in May 2023, which is 9.21% year-on-year growth with volume growth by 9,883. It also improved from 1,52,365 units in April 2023 with 6.49% month-on-month growth and volume growth by 9,883 units. The Scooter Category – Jupiter, Ntorq, iQube, Scooty Pep+, reports improvement from 1,00,665 units in May 2022 to 1,03,203 units in May 2023 with 2.52% year-on-year growth and volume growth by 2,538 units. However, the sales dipped from 1,07,496 units in April 2023 with 3.99% month-on-month de-growth, and volume de-growth by 4,293 units.
The Moped Category which only has TVS XL 100, sales of which also improved from 37,883 units in May 2022 to 53,844 units in May 2023 with 42.32% year-on-year growth and volume growth by 16,011 units. It also improved from 34,925 units in April 2023 with 54.17% month-on-month growth and volume growth by 18,919 units. The Domestic Sales of 2-Wheelers rounded at 2,52,690 units in May 2023 from the 1,91,482 units in May 2022 with 31.97% year-on-year growth and volume growth by 61,208 units. It also saw improvement from 2,32,956 units in April 2023 with 8.47% month-on-month growth and volume growth by 19,734 units.
The Export Sales of 2-Wheelers rounded at 66,605 units in May 2023 from the 95,576 units in May 2022 which is obviously lower than it did last year with 30.31% year-on-year de-growth and volume de-growth by 28,971 units. However, the numbers are definitely positive when compared to April 2023 sales of 61,830 units with 7.72% month-on-month growth, and volume growth by 4,775 units. The total 2-wheeler sales stands at 3,19,295 units in May 2023 from the 2,94,786 unis in May 2022 reporting 8.31% year-on-year growth and increased volume by 24,509 units.

The Domestic Sales of 3-Wheelers reports good numbers in sales as in May 2022, it did 1,255 units sales and in May 2023 it reported 1,312 units with a 4.54% year-on-year growth and volume growth by 57 units. However, the sales dipped from 1,605 units in April 2023 with 18.26% month-on-month de-growth, and volume growth decreased by 239 units. The Export Sales of 3-Wheelers reports decline in sales from 14,669 units in May 2022 to 10,002 units in May 2023 with 31.82% decline month-on-month growth and volume de-growth by 4,667 units. However, it reports positive numbers when compared to April 2023 export numbers, i.e, 9,833 units with 1.72% month-on-month growth, and volume growth by 169 units.
The total 3-Wheelers sales stand at 11,314 units in May 2023 from the 15,924 units in May 2022 with loss of volume by 4,610 units with 28.95% year-on-year de-growth. It doesn’t have any positive numbers, but still a big improvement from April 2023 total exports, which is 11,438 units with 1.08% month-on-month decline and volume de-growth by 124 units. So, the combined total domestic sales of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers is 2,54,002 units in May 2023 from the 1,92,737 units in May 2022 with 31.79% year-on-year growth, and volume growth by 61,265 units. It also reports positive numbers from 2,34,561 units in April 2023 with a 8.29% month-on-month growth and volume growth by 19,441 units.
The combined total export sales of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers is 76,607 units in May 2023 from the 1,10,245 units in May 2022 which was lower sales from the last year by 30.51% year-on-year and volume de-growth by 33,638 units. It however reports positive numbers from 71,663 units in April 2023 with a 6.90% month-on-month growth and 4,944 units is the volume growth. So, in cumulative, the total sales including Domestic and Exports of 2-wheelers and 3-wheelers is 3,30,609 units in May 2023 from the 3,02,982 units in May 2022 with 9.12% year-on-year growth and 27,627 units increased volume growth. Even from the April 2023, i.e, 3,06,224 units, it reported month-on-month growth by 7.96% and volume growth by 24,385 units.
