Tata Motors revealed the February 2024 Sales and it reports 84,834 units with year-on-year growth by 9%, and incredible year-on-yer growth in the EV category by 30%.

Tata Motors Sales: What you need to know!

Let’s dive into the passenger vehicle sales first. Tata Motors did domestic sales of 51,267 units in February 2024, and this sales figure also includes electric vehicle line-up which includes – Tigor EV, Tiago EV, Punch EV, and Nexon EV. The list will soon be expanded by the Harrier EV, Safari EV, and Curvv EV that are coming by next year. Additionally, the domestic sales reports growth in year-on-year sales by 20% compared to 42,862 units in February 2023.

Exports however, reports decline by big margin. The exports in February 2024 were only 54 units which is down by 81% against the 278 units in February 2023. This takes the total passenger vehicles sales to 5,321 units which is up by 19% compared to 43,140 units in Feb. 2023. Electric vehicles sales which includes exports and domestic sales figures are also improving significantly as it reports 6,923 units in Feb. 2024 which is up by 30% which is massive for Tata compared to the 5,318 units last year.

It’s time to dive in the Commercial Sales now. The Commercial Sales performance are also down with Tata Motors reporting 4% de-growth from 36,565 units last year to 36,085 units in February 2024. The demand for the HCV trucks has gone down to 10,091 units in February 2024 which is in decline by 15% compared to 11,868 units in Feb. 2023.

The ILMCV Sales 6% year-on-year drop in sales from 5,426 units last year to 5,083 units in Feb 2024. The Passenger Carriers sales are up by huge 29% from 3,632 units last year to 4,692 units in February 2024. The SCV Cargo and Pickup Sales are however down by 4% year-on-year to 13,701 units, The Commercial Vehicles Exports are however up to 7% year-on-year from 1,421 units last year from 1,518 units shipped in Feb. 2024.
