Hero Karizma XMR had launched at the end of August 2023, and now we’ve the first accident reported with the front and side of the bike damaged badly.

Hero Karizma XMR: What Happened?

The Hero Karizma XMR, the latest addition to the Indian Motorcycle line-up has recently experienced its first major accident. Introduced in the mid-2000s, this bike quickly gained popularity for its sporty design, combining striking aesthetics with impressive performance, all at a surprisingly affordable price point. However, it disappeared from the market for an extended period in the mid-2010s, only to make a comeback, ready to compete with its rivals once again.

The video in question is from a Youtube Channel called Raftaar 7811, which captures the aftermath of the latest crash involving this popular bike. According to the information in the video, the front fascia and side fairing of the Karizma have sustained damage. The exact cause of the accident remains unknown but it appears that a car or a mini-truck may have collided with the bike from both the front and the side. The damage is evident on the headlamps and other components. Unfortunately, there are no details available regarding the rider’s condition and safety. We can only hope that they did not suffer severe injuries.

The 2023 Hero Karizma XMR 210 is equipped with a robust 210cc liquid-cooled 4V DOHC engine, delivering an impressive peak power of 24 BHP at 9,250 RPM and a maximum torque of 20.4 NM at 7,250 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6 Speed Gearbox with a slip-and-clutch mechanism. Safety is a top priority for this model, as it features dual-channel ABS. The bike’s construction incorporates a sturdy Trellis frame made from high-tensile steel. In terms of braking, it boasts a 300 MM Disc Brake at the front wheel, and a 230 MM disc brake at the rear.

To ensure a comfortable and smooth ride across various road conditions, the Karizma XMR features a 37 MM telescopic fork with an anti-friction bush at the front and a 6-step pre-load adjustable gas-charged monoshock suspension syste at the rear. The front tyre is a 100-section, while the rear is a 140-section. The bike’s dimensions include a wheelbase of 1351 MM, a seat height of 810 MM, and a ground clearance of 160 MM. It weighs 163.5 KG and 11 L fuel tank capacity. The Karizma XMR at the moment is priced at Rs. 1.80 L (ex-showroom).
