Now that Maruti Suzuki has launched the new Swift for the Indian Market it only makes sense to compare it over its older version to see how much the new version has evolved.
Maruti Suzuki Swift Old vs New: Design
Old Swift Exterior –
- Hexagon-shape grille with chrome bar; slimmer Headlamps with Wide U-shape LED DRLs.
- Round Fog Lamps, 15-inch 5-spoke Alloy Wheels, Turn Indicators on Auto Foldable ORVMs, body-coloured door handles.
- Micro Roof Antenna on top, LED Tail-lamps at rear, black finish for rear bumper.
Old Swift Interior –
- Dash-mounted 7-inch Infotainment, Analog Instrument Cluster and in front it is the 3-Spoke Steering with Audio and Cruise Controls.
- Dual-tone theme for dashboard, three round dials out of which 2 controls for HVAC and one is LCD screen displaying temperature.
- Fabric Upholstery, 6 Speakers, and round AC vents
New Swift Exterior –
- New Front Fascia with sleeker LED Headlamps and within the unit is the L-shape LED DRLs.
- New Front and Rear Bumpers, Square-ish Fog Lamps at front.
- New 16-inch alloy wheels, Turn Indicators on Auto Foldable ORVMs, body-coloured door handles.
- Shark Fin Antenna on top, new LED Tail-lamps at rear
New Swift Interior –
- Free-standing 9-inch Infotainment, new AC vents, and tweaked analog instrument cluster.
- Dual-tone theme for the cabin, new HVAC panel, and Wireless Charging Pad in front of the Gearbox.
- 6 Speakers from Arkamys, Rear AC Vents, and updated centre console.
- Layout Similar to other Maruti models such as Baleno, Brezza, Fronx.

Maruti Suzuki has brought a major upgrade for the new generation Swift to keep up with the expectations of the Indian Market. They introduced new Petrol Engine which is highly fuel efficient and emits less CO2 helping the environment be eco-friendly. New design language gives the Swift a modern aesthetic look which is not appealing but sporty as well. The car was already averaging 17,000 units every month, but with this new generation look, it’s very likely it’ll soon become the top 1 selling model of India for many – many months.
