Mahindra has announced a Rs. 10,000 price hike for the entry-level variants of the Thar 3-Door. This adjustment increases the starting price to Rs. 11.35 lakh for the base AX (O) Diesel MT RWD variant.

After the successful launch of the XUV3XO in India, Mahindra is working hard to secure a big market share in the SUV segment. In a strategic move, Mahindra is also set to launch five brand-new electric SUVs and the 5-Door Thar. The Thar 5-Door will be debuting on August 15th. In anticipation of this launch, Mahindra has announced a price hike for the Thar 3-Door models.

The price hike of Rs. 10,000 is limited to the entry-level variants only. As a result, the new starting price for the Thar is Rs. 11.35 lakh for the base AX (O) Diesel MT RWD variant, which is an increase from the previous Rs 11.25 lakh. Similarly, the LX Diesel MT RWD and LX Petrol AT RWD variants have also seen a Rs. 10,000 price hike. Consequently, the most affordable LX variant now starts at Rs. 12.85 Lakh for the LX Diesel MT RWD, while the most affordable automatic variant begins at Rs. 14.1 Lakh for the LX Petrol AT RWD. No other variants have been affected by this price adjustment.
The Thar 5-Door upon its launch is set to introduce many new features in the segment which will be a big shocker. Expect new features such as ventilated seats, single-pane sunroof, dual 10.25-inch Displays, 360 Surround View Camera, and more importantly, Level 2 ADAS, and 19-inch features. So, expect the 5-Door Thar pricing to start from Rs. 15 Lakhs.
