Skoda India has updated the Slavia and the Kushaq back with the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system after the company replaced the 10-inch unit with the 8-inch unit due to semi-conductors shortage!
Skoda Slavia, Kushaq Updated: What you need to know!
The 10-inch infotainment system is back on the Slavia, and Kushaq, but it’s available from the Style variant. A larger 10-inch unit means that the Wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto and a sub-woofer are back on the style variant. The upgraded screen uses the latest software and UI, though it’s entirely touch-based, which means it lacks the convenience of a rotary dial for adjusting volume and a few touch-based shortcut buttons that were previously present on the bezel of the 8.0-inch unit.
It’s worth noting that the 10-inch screen will also be offered on the Kushaq Monte Carlo and Slavia Matte Edition variants, while the mid-range Ambition variants for both the Kushaq and Slavia will retain the 8.0-inch screen. Moreover, the dongle connectivity feature has been removed from the Ambition variant of both the models. Notably, Skoda has recently updated the Kushaq and Slavia Style, Monte Carlo, and Matte Edition variants, with powered front seats and ambient footwell illumination as additional features.
The Kushaq is now available with the 17-inch single-tone silver color alloy wheels on the top Style variant which replaces the dual-tone 5-spoke metal alloys. This new wheels look very similar to the Volkswagen Taigun except the size is larger.
At the moment, the Slavia is priced between Rs. 10.89 – Rs. 19.12 Lakh, and the Kushaq is between Rs. 10.89 – Rs. 20.01 Lakh. The Slavia rivals the Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, and Hyundai Verna, while the Kushaq SUV on the other hand rivals the Maruti Grand Vitara, Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, and Kia Seltos.
