The video hared on Instagram by KL Boi, depicts a Mahindra Thar owner who crashed into a tree while attempting to drift the SUV in an open field. The video begins with an image of a man standing beside the damaged Thar, laughing in the aftermath of the mishap. It then proceeds to show how the accident occurred.
In the video, the driver of the Mahindra Thar is seen attempting to drift the lifestyle off-roader in an open field. The driver accelerates, attempts to steer the vehicle to the right for the drift, but things quickly go wrong. Instead of executing a controlled drift, the SUV veers off course and enters a small ditch filled with water. Subsequently, it collides with a sturdy tree situated in the middle of the field, resulting in the wreckage seen at the start of the video.
Analyzing what went wrong during this drift attempt, several factors contributed to the failure. First, the choice of vehicle for drifting was not suitable. SUVs typically have a high center of gravity, making them more prone to losing balance and tipping over. Successful drifts are often performed using sedans with lower centers of gravity and mass.
