Mahindra has been caught testing the XUV300 Facelift several times now with the spy shots revealing many new details like the new exterior, and interior design, panoramic sunroof, new features, and so much more. Today, we’re going to list down 5 things about the upcoming SUV that could be a wake-up call for its rivals in this segment –
Exterior:
As seen in the spy shots, the upcoming XUV300 Facelift will undergo big exterior changes over the outgoing version. It’ll feature huge new C-Shape LED DRLs that were seen on the concept BE.05 electric SUV, and the DRLs over on the headlamp as frame, closed front grille, new bumpers, bonnet, and new set of alloy wheels. The rear will feature new LED taillamps and a LED light bar for a connected light sequence.
Interior:
The Interior features a new freestanding 10.25-inch infotainment system replacing the outgoing version’s 7-inch. Next to that is the four-spoke steering wheel that will be carried over from the outgoing version, the AC vent this time will be below the infotainment system and the center console will under some revisions as well. The XUV300 Facelift will also get first-in segment panoramic sunroof, and it’s possible it’ll get a digital instrument cluster, or semi-digital instrument cluster (similar to Scorpio-N).
Engine Options:
When it comes to Engine Options, we don’t think Mahindra is going to make any changes and it’ll continue to offer you the same 3 Engine Options – 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol producing 108.62 BHP, and 200 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Then there is another 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol producing 128.73 BHP and 230 NM of torque mated to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. Last is the 1.5 L Turbo Diesel generating 115.05 BHP and 300 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.
Features:
In Features, the outgoing version comes with dual-zone climate control, 7-inch infotainment system, single-pane sunroof, Projector headlamps, height adjustable driver seat, and so much. This could change as its rivals as more features than the outgoing version, and to counter this, Mahindra will add new features like ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment system, rear AC vents, wireless charging pad, etc.
Safety:
In Safety, the outgoing version has safety features like 2 airbags for all trims except for the top trim W8 (O) which has 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD, Front Fog Lamps, All 4 Disc Brakes, Hill Start Assist, Reverse Parking Camera with Front and Rear Sensors, and so on. In the facelift version, it’ll get 360 Surround View Camera, Level 1 ADAS, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill Descent Control, and few more.
