Launch of 2018 Ciaz facelift which was supposed to be on 6th August 2018 has been delayed slightly.This delay is due to clash with rival company’s event.The new date has not yet been confirmed but as per sources it would be launched by mid-august.
As we earlier stated that initially Ciaz will get a old 1.3-litre fiat sourced diesel engine which would be later replaced by a powerful 1.5-litre diesel engine,which complies with BS-VI norms.The other engine will be a new 1.5-litre petrol engine which will replace the 1368cc petrol one.This engine will also get a hybrid motor.Both petrol and diesel engine will get a 6-speed manual gearbox with AMT in 1.5L petrol.Diesel automatic will be introduced with the launch of Suzuki developed 1.5-litre diesel unit.
Ciaz facelift will see many changes in front section.The front grille with four chrome slats now are replaced by sleek grille with chrome surrounds.The front bumper is completely new,with C-shaped fog lamp housing and with chrome accents around the fog lamps.The front grille merge into headlamps.Ciaz gets new smoked projector headlamps with LED DRLs.Moving to the side,minimal changes are there.Although Ciaz will continue with 16-inch multi-spoke alloys but some minor tweaks are made in styling of rims.On the rear end,Ciaz sports LED taillights which looks stunning.The reflectors at the back gets chrome surrounds and an adjoining line connects these two reflectors.
The cabin has received rather a few changes.These include Electric sunroof,cruise controls and similar other features.The interior will continue to sports black and beige interior with faux wood inserts around the dashboard.Touchscreen infotainment system will also grow in size while supporting apple carplay,android auto and tons of other apps.The MID is also big in size displaying multiple information with big dials in the instrument cluster.
New features in 2018 Ciaz Facelift includes Cruise Controls,Electric Sunroof,New 16-inch Alloys,Smoked projector Headlamps with LED DRLs,New 7-inch Touchscreen Infotainment system,6 Airbags,12V power socket front+Rear,Auto Headlamps and Auto Rain Sensing wipers.
The ongoing Ciaz is priced very competitively which undercuts all the cars in this segment.This time we expect an increase in price of Rs. 20,000 throughout the range of Ciaz Facelift.A increase in price is still justifiable given the features it offers and its high mileage figures.
