Maruti’s upcoming mini-Ertiga under 7 lakhs: a complete overview

Maruti is scheduled to release a new compact MPV, positioned beneath the Ertiga, in the near future. This MPV is probably going to be modelled after the company’s Japanese model, the Spacia. This will result in fierce competition in the small MPV market.

Maruti is prepared to release a brand-new, seven-seater compact SUV on the market soon. This spacious seven-seater, code-named YDB, will have a unique MPV character owing to its numerous features and stunning appearance.

The design characteristics of Maruti’s new MPV, the YDB, are probably derived from those of its sibling vehicle, the Spacia, which is marketed in Japan. In contrast to the Spacia, this India Spec MPV is probably larger in size, yet it will still have a boxier appearance and a roomier cabin. This will be available with numerous new features in a seven-seater configuration.

 Maruti YDB: Engine Specs

A new 1.2-liter 3-cylinder Z series petrol engine, which we can see in the upcoming new generation Swift, is probably what the new Maruti MPV-YDB will get. This will provide increased efficiency and performance when paired with either a 5-speed manual or an automatic gearbox. Later on, the manufacturer might offer a CNG version as an additional option, similar to other Maruti cars.
