Tata Motors faces scrutiny as two separate incidents reveal newly delivered Safari facelift SUVs being dismantled due to wiring issues shortly after purchase. Owners in Nagpur, Maharashtra, experienced dashboard malfunctions, prompting towings to dealerships for repairs. Concerns over quality control and service reliability arise as customers await updates on the status of their vehicles.
20 Day Old Tata Safari Faces Multiple Issues: What Happened?
Tata Motors, the country’s third-largest carmaker, has invested significant effort in designing the new Safari facelift SUV. However, concerns have arisen regarding the service quality and general quality control of the company. Recently, a disconcerting incident surfaced when an owner revealed that his brand-new Safari facelift was dismantled just two days after delivery. Now, another unsettling incident has emerged from Nagpur, Maharashtra, where another Tata Safari facelift, just 20 days old, underwent dismantling at a dealership.
A video showcasing the dismantled Tata Safari facelift has been shared on YouTube by Prateek Singh on their channel. According to the presenter, the latest case of a Tata Safari facelift encountering significant problems was reported by a customer from Nagpur, Maharashtra. The owner recounted that he and his family took delivery of their Tata Safari Accomplished+ on February 7th. However, on February 20th, while returning from his office, the car began displaying multiple errors.
Promptly, the owner contacted Tata Roadside Assistance and the dealership, following which the car was towed to the showroom. The next day, he was informed that there were issues with the car’s wiring leading to a short circuit. Consequently, the dealership had to dismantle the entire dashboard and gearbox to rectify the problem. The car was subsequently returned to the owner on February 24th. Although the owner suggested the dealership keep the car longer to ensure there were no other issues, he was reassured that the problem had been resolved.
However, upon receiving the car, the same issue resurfaced while the owner was at a fuel station. The dashboard illuminated with numerous issues, rendering the car inoperable, and it had to be towed back to the dealership. Currently, the car remains at the dealership, and the owner has not received any updates on its status. These incidents raise concerns about the reliability and quality assurance of Tata Motors’ vehicles and services.
