The Creta EV is said to come equipped with a 45 kWh Battery Pack manufactured by LG Chem. Hyundai is aiming for 450 KM Range although the real-world range may yield between 250 – 300 KMs, contingent upon factors such as driving conditions and driving behavior. Moreover, to optimize range, the SUV will feature regenerative braking system complemented by fast-charging capabilities enabling swift recharging, akin to the Hyundai IONIQ 5 which is capable of charging from 10 – 80% in 21 Minutes through an ultra-fast charger.
Notably, the Creta EV will be a Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) SUV with a single-motor setup with power output expected to generate 138 BHP and 255 NM of torque. However, details regarding the acceleration, top speed, and charging times aren’t available yet and will be disclosed in the near future.
The upcoming EV will share many features with its ICE counterpart like the seamless integrated 10.25-inch Infotainment and Instrument Cluster, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, front ventilated seats, Bose 8 Speakers Sound System, Level 2 ADAS, and so much more. However, there is a possibility that Hyundai may introduce some new features such as more ADAS functions, maybe co-driver powered seats, powered tailgate, etc.
The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to launch in the late 2024.
