Kia has revealed the variants and the pricing of its compact electric SUV, the EV3 in South Korea with launch in July. This new electric SUV will help Kia increase its presence in the EV segment.

Kia has revealed the EV3 in the South Korea with bookings open and prices announced as well. The EV3 will go on sale in July once it gets the required approval. Kia has priced the base trim at KRW 42.08 [approx. Rs. 25.55 Lakh], EV3 Earth variant at KRW 45.71 million (Rs 27.80 lakh). The GT Line variant has a price tag of KRW 46.66 million (Rs 28.37 lakh), which is the same pricing as the EV3 Long Range variant. Customers can expect reduced prices after applying the tax benefits available for EVs in South Korea.

The styling of the EV3 is based on Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy. Key highlights include vertically stacked small ice-cube projector LED headlamps, star map LED DRLs, uniquely-themed alloy wheels, and blacked-out pillars. A total of 7 color options for exterior are available for the Kia EV3, and 3 color options for the interiors.
The EV3 comes with range of premium features, including dual 12.3-inch seamless integrated displays, a 12-inch Heads-Up Display, dynamic ambient lighting, and so on. The interiors are designed to enhance the sense of roominess, with a clutter-free look and only a few physical buttons on the central console area. Users can access a plethora of connected features.
In terms of safety, the EV3 is equipped with 9 airbags and Level 2 ADAS functions. It utilizes ultra-high-tensile hot stamping parts and a reinforced body structure to ensure passenger safety in the event of a crash.
The base trims are fitted with a 58.3 kWh unit, while the top-spec long-range trims has an 81.4 kWh battery pack. The claimed range is 350 KM for the standard trims and 501 KM for the long-range trims. Using a 350 kW fast charger, the standard trims takes 29 Minutes to charge from 10 – 80% while long-range trims takes 31 Minutes. The EV3 is available with a single electric motor mounted on the front wheel, delivering 200 BHP and 283 Nm.
