In October 2024, the SUV segment experienced a notable growth, with a 10.66% increase in year-on-year (YoY) sales, totaling 1,82,622 units, compared to 1,65,036 units in October 2023. The top 10 SUVs contributed significantly to this surge, led by popular models across various brands.

- Maruti Fronx showcased impressive demand, achieving a 44.57% YoY increase with 16,419 units sold, up from 11,357 units previously.
- Tata Punch and its EV version secured the fourth position, recording 15,740 units in sales, a slight growth of 2.76% from October 2023’s 15,317 units.
- Mahindra Scorpio [Classic and Scorpio N] continued its strong performance, with sales increasing by 15.46% YoY to 15,677 units, compared to 13,578 units last year.
- Tata Nexon and its EV variant saw a decline, slipping to the sixth position with a 12.60% drop in sales to 14,759 units, down from 16,887 units in October 2023.
- Maruti Grand Vitara had a solid month, experiencing a 29.99% YoY growth to reach 14,083 units, an increase from 10,834 units in the previous year.
- Hyundai Venue saw a slight dip, with sales declining by 5.87% YoY to 10,901 units, from 11,581 units in October 2023.
- Mahindra XUV700 showed stable growth, with 10,435 units sold, marking a 12.24% increase over the 9,297 units sold in the previous year.
- Mahindra Bolero rounded out the top 10, with a marginal 2.09% growth, reaching 9,849 units, compared to 9,647 units in October 2023.
