A New Hyundai SUV has been confirmed to launch in January 2025 to take on the best-selling SUV in segment, Tata Curvv EV!

Hyundai Motors will be launching the electric version of it’s best-selling model, Creta SUV. The SUV will be getting additional features over the ICE version to attract more people to buy the EV.

Hyundai Creta EV: Exterior

The Hyundai Creta EV carries forward the design language of the ICE Creta Facelift, with distinctive updates that emphasize its electric identity. Its front fascia features a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and sleek LED positioning lamps paired with DRLs and sequential turn indicators. The upright front hood enhances its bold stance. While the side profile retains a similar appearance, the introduction of new aero-efficient 17-inch alloy wheels adds a modern touch. At the rear, connected LED tail lamps, sequential turn indicators, and an aerodynamic spoiler give the Creta EV a stylish and futuristic look.

Hyundai Creta EV: Interior

Inside, the Hyundai Creta EV offers an advanced cabin equipped with dual 10.25-inch displays for the digital cluster and infotainment system, seamlessly integrated for a high-tech experience. The steering wheel, borrowed from the Hyundai Kona Electric, showcases the new Hyundai logo designed specifically for electric vehicles. A significant interior change includes the relocation of the drive selector to the steering column, freeing up space on the center console. Other interior aspects remain similar to the ICE variant, maintaining a balance of familiarity and modernity.

Hyundai Creta EV: Battery Specs

The Hyundai Creta EV is powered by a 45 kWh battery pack supplied by LG Chem, delivering 134.1 BHP and 395 Nm of torque with a front-wheel-drive configuration, similar to the Kona EV which has been discontinued. The EV offers an impressive claimed range of 450–500 km, though practical usage may yield a range of 250–300 km under real-world conditions. With ultra-fast charging, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes, similar to the Hyundai IONIQ 5. It also features a regenerative braking system for improved efficiency.

Hyundai Creta EV: Features

Packed with premium features, the Creta EV ensures enhanced comfort and safety. It offers front ventilated seats, a 360-degree surround view camera, Level 2 ADAS, dual-zone climate control, a powered driver seat, and front and rear parking sensors. The SUV also includes a panoramic sunroof, an electric parking brake with auto hold, a Bose sound system, and hill descent control. Heated front seats are expected as an additional feature, making it more suitable for colder climates.

Hyundai Creta EV: Price and Launch

The Hyundai Creta EV has been confirmed to launch in January 2025, with an expected price range of Rs. 18–25 lakh. It will rival existing models like the MG ZS EV, recently launched Tata Curvv EV, and soon to be joining the list – Mahindra BE.6e, Maruti eVX, and Toyota Urban EV; adding excitement to the growing compact electric SUV segment.
