2 New Korean SUVs are set to launch in next 2 Months – Hyundai Creta EV and the Kia Syros SUV. The Hyundai Creta EV and the Kia Syros SUV are most likely to be launched at the Bharat Mobility Expo which will be held in January 2025. But before it officially launches, let’s take a look and see what these 2 SUVs consist of.

Hyundai Creta EV
Launch: January 2025
The Hyundai Creta EV retains the bold design of the ICE Creta Facelift with updates like a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and new aero-efficient 18-inch alloy wheels. It features connected LED tail-lamps and an aerodynamic spoiler at the rear. Inside, the cabin is same as ICE version like dual 10.25-inch displays serve as the digital cluster and infotainment system, with the drive selector now on the steering column, new steering wheel with 4 dots which in morse code means Hyundai.
Powered by a 45 kWh LG Chem battery, it aims for a range of 450–500 km, though practical use may yield 250–300 km. Fast-charging from 10–80% takes 21 minutes with an ultra-fast charger. Key amenities include front ventilated seats, a 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a Bose Sound System. Expected to be priced between Rs. 18 – 25 lakhs, it launches in January 2025, competing with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and also upcoming Mahindra’s BE.6e.

Kia Syros
Expected Launch: ICE – Jan 2025; EV – H2 2025
Kia’s unveiled the name of it’s upcoming new Compact SUV, Syros, which embodies Kia’s Opposites United design, features a bold exterior with a tall stance, upright hood, and aggressive grille. It stands out with diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels (17-inch optional) and measures likely more than 4 meters in length, offering more space than the Kia Sonet. Inside, it has seamless integrated dual 10.25-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a dual-tone dashboard, and a panoramic sunroof. Upholstery options could include full white or black leatherette.
Engine options include:
- 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol: 81.8 BHP, 115 NM, 6-speed MT
- 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol: 118.35 BHP, 172 NM, 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT
- 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel: 113 BHP, 250 NM, 6-speed MT/iMT/AT

Kia is expected to launch the Syros SUV between in Jan 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Expo, with the electric version arriving in 2nd half of 2025. Pricing of ICE is anticipated between Rs. 9 – Rs. 17 Lakhs.
