Kia Seltos will be updated with a couple of new features including panoramic sunroof to help it establish better against current and upcoming rivals.
Kia Seltos was launched in India back in 2019 where the SUV made its world premiere in the country. Seltos was offered with a really exhausting list of features along with multiple powertrains choices due to which Creta lost its crown to the new SUV then.
And now last year only, in 2020, Hyundai Creta got a new generation and the Korean SUV came with changes inside out along with additional features, one big feature being panoramic sunroof and surely the craze for this feature is a proof from the demand for the higher SX and SX(O) variants of the SUV which offers this feature.
Now Kia Motors India’s new logo will debut on Seltos next month. Along with this, the mid size SUV is also likely to get panoramic sunroof which is going to replace the standard sunroof offered from HTX trim of the SUV.
Along with this, there will some other feature addition and deletion as well, complete details to be unwrapped on April 27, 2021. The SUV might also add paddle shifters in higher automatic variants with lower models getting wireless phone projection as well followed by a substantial price hike as well.
Also, the event might be for a new introduction of Kia car since they have earlier announced to bring a new car to our market every 6 months and the last new vehicle by the carmakers for India was Kia Sonet which was introduced in September 2020.
Kia Seltos is currently averaging at 8,000 units per months. Pre-creta launch in 2020, the SUV found around 11,000 buyers every month and now the new features addition will surely it better compete with its cousin as well 3 new rivals entering this segment in 2021.
Kia Seltos is offered with two petrol engines – 1.5 L MPI Petrol (113 BHP / 144 NM). Gearbox choices are 6 Speed MT and 7 speed iVT. 1.4-litre Turbo petrol (138 BHP / 242 NM) is offered with 6 Speed MT & 7 Speed DCT while 1.5-litre Diesel engine (113 BHP and 250 NM) can be had with either 6 speed MT or 6 Speed torque converter automatic.
