Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700’s rival is set to launch in new avatar which could end up being a big headache for them!
MG Motor India has officially teased the 2026 MG Hector, confirming a bold design update and meaningful feature upgrades for the popular mid-size SUV. The silhouette in the teaser reveals a more muscular and athletic stance, sharper body lines, and an overall increase in visual aggression. At the centre of this redesign is the new front grille, crafted to look stronger and more modern, giving the SUV a confident and premium road presence.
Exterior Update with New Front Grille

The latest teaser puts the spotlight on the redesigned grille, marking a major step forward in MG’s evolving design philosophy. The SUV maintains its familiar identity but now looks more grown-up and contemporary. Recent spy shots also highlight updates such as reworked front and rear bumpers, refreshed alloy wheels (expected to be 19-inch units), and a cleaner, more refined look. The LED DRLs and headlamp layout remain unchanged, and the overall silhouette stays the same, showing that MG is focusing on sharper styling rather than altering the core structure.
Interior Enhancements

Inside the cabin, the facelift aims to deliver a more premium and tech-rich experience. Ventilated seats are expected for the front and possibly the rear, enhancing comfort for occupants. The connected tech suite is likely to see improvements, along with a more intuitive user interface. MG is also expected to expand the ADAS package, offering smarter safety features that align with evolving market demand. The already-large 14-inch portrait touchscreen is set to become even more capable with the new hardware.
MG is expected to equip the SUV with a much better unit of infotainment which will have faster processing, smoother touch response, and likely some gesture controls. With these upgrades, the Hector could offer one of the most advanced and responsive infotainment experiences in the mid-size SUV segment.
