Well, even the Honda Elevate has few pro’s and con’s that makes you consider your decision on whether to opt for the Elevate or look for other SUV to buy. Here are all the pro’s and con’s of Honda Elevate –

Honda Elevate Pro’s

Spacious Interior and Attractive Design

The Elevate SUV has a bold, and rugged design that draws inspiration straight from the HR-V and CR-V SUV sold in other international markets, making the Elevate SUV standout against it’s rivals. It has boxy body and wheel arches, LED headlamps, LED taillamps, LED DRLs, and 17-inch alloy wheels. From the inside, the SUV offers very spacious interior with leather seat upholstery, and large boot space of 458 litres, which is bigger than the Creta’s 433 litre.

Powerful Engine

The Elevate SUV comes with 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual and Advanced CVT Gearbox. This engine is slightly powerful than the Creta’s petrol engine producing 113 bhp and 144 Nm of torque.

Feature-loaded

The Elevate SUV comes with numerous features that increases the comfort, convenience, and entertainment of the passengers. It has a 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless apple carplay/android auto, wireless charging pad, single-pane sunroof, fully digital instrument cluster, Honda connected car tech, automatic climate control, keyless entry/exit, rear AC vents, and Level 2 ADAS features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Mitigation System, Lane Keeping Assist System, Lead Car Departure Notification, Road Departure Mitigation System, Lane Watch Camera, and many more.

Honda Elevate Con’s

No Hybrid Powertrain

We know that the Elevate SUV is built on the same platform as the Honda City (5th Gen) and therefore it made sense that Honda would offer Hybrid powertrain with the SUV as well. Turns out, Honda won’t be offering the Hybrid powertrain for the Elevate SUV, therefore, limiting the option for customers and making Maruti and Toyota the only carmaker in this segment to offer Petrol-Hybrid Powertrain with best fuel efficiency.

Still lacks Features

The Honda Elevate still missed out on lots of features that could’ve the people go wow for this SUV like the ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, panoramic sunroof, more connected car tech, and a turbo petrol powertrain.

High Pricing

Honda is expected to price the Elevate SUV between Rs. 12 lakh – Rs. 19 lakh where as the Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs. 10.87 lakh – Rs. 19.20 lakh. Hyundai Creta offers slightly more features and variants than the Elevate giving them the choice of selecting which variant at which price they want. Honda might actually need to figure the correct pricing for it’s SUV otherwise it won’t perform in sales as they might expect the SUV to perform.
