The recently launched 5-door Maruti Jimny has been transformed into a Mercedes G-Wagon making it the first 5-door Jimny in India to utilize the G-Wagon Body Kit!

Someone converted the newly launched Indian Specific 5-door Jimny into a Mercedes G-Wagon by heavy utilization of modifications!

Maruti Jimny converted into G-Wagon – What you need to know!

Maruti Suzuki recently had launched the 5-door 4×4 Jimny for the Indian market instead of the 3-door version to compete with Mahindra Thar, and Force Gurkha. In other countries, we’ve seen many clean modifications of the 3-door Jimny into the Mercedes G-Wagon thanks to the body kits available in the aftermarket. The same is now happening in India as well as the body kit for the 5-door Jimny has started to arrive in the market, and here we’ve the first 5-door Jimny with G-Wagon body kit. As you can see in the video above, a brand new 5-door White color Jimny is being converted into a G-Wagon. The front end of the off-road SUV was modified completely; grille, headlamps and bumpers were removed; bonnet and fenders got replaced, and the wheel arches are now wiper. The newly installed body kit completely changes the 5-door Jimny to look like a mini G-Wagon, and after they fitted the panels for trial, it was painted to match the original white color. Moreover, the Mercedes logo at the center of the grille was replaced with the Maruti Suzuki logo.

A new scoop on the roof which is part of the body kit was added to make the off-road SUV look bold and muscular. From the side, the 15-inch alloy wheels has been replaced with the 18-inch alloy wheels from the aftermarket brand called AD, and black-painted roof-mounted spoiler. Even the spare wheel cover is replaced with the similar G-Wagon-like unit. The Jimny branding is retained with this body kit, but replaced the bumpers and the taillights.

Other than the exterior modifications, the interiors undergone some sorts of customization as well. The full-black seat upholstery is replaced with the premium dual-tone red and black interior with leather-wrapped seats. The Jimny interiors has been reworked to match the G-Wagon’s style for a luxurious feel; Cardi K4 ambient lights installed on the door and dashboard by VM Customs. No changes to the engines has been made. All this customizations and modifications of transforming the Jimny into a G-Wagon comes at a price and we expect to see more of these mods in the future.
