Royal Enfield Bullet 350

Royal Enfield teased an old bike launch on the August 30th and it is very likely that it’s the launch of Bullet 350 that is updated to the J-Platform bidding farewell to the UCE Engine. So, we thought of comparing the current Bullet with the upcoming new Bullet to see what’s different between the two versions.

RE Bullet 350 Current vs New – Design

At the front as you can see, the current Bullet 350 comes with round Halogen headlamps with round bulb indicators at the sides and exposed handlebar above the headlamps. It rides of telescopic fork suspension at front with 19-inch spoke-wire wheels equipped with disc brakes, and at the rear it rides on twin shock absorbers with 5-step adjustable preload with 19-inch spoke wire wheels equipped with drum brakes. Moving to the side, it has round analog instrument cluster and oval-shaped fuel tank, and one single piece seat with the pillion seat raised a bit. At the rear, it has round halogen taillights, and single exhaust below.

As for the new Bullet 350, it’ll be build on the new J-Platform with a new, smoother, and refined 349cc engine, and will have the same chassis as the Classic 350. Other than that, it’ll most likely retain all the design elements.

When it comes to Powertrains, the Current Bullet 350 is powered by 346cc Single-Cylinder 4 Stroke, Air Cooled, Fuel Injection producing 19.10 bhp and 28 Nm of torque mated to 5-speed Gearbox. The upcoming new Buller 350 will be using the same engine that also powers the Classic, Meteor, and Hunter 350. The 349.34cc 4 Stroke, Air-Oil Cooled Engine, Spark Ignition, Single Cylinder producing 19.93 bhp and 27 Nm of torque paired to 5-speed Gearbox.

The current Bullet 350 comes with features like front disc brakes, analog instrument cluster, halogen headlamps, drum brakes at rear, and that’s about it. The new Bullet 350 will be the same, nothing new.

RE Bullet 350 Current vs New – Price and Verdict

The current Bullet 350 starts at Rs. 1.60 lakh for the Kick Start variant and Rs. 1.69 lakh for the Electric Start variant. As for the new Bullet 350, it is expected to start at Rs. 1.65 lakh positioning between the Hunter 350 and Classic 350.

In the end, the decision to buy which Bullet bike depends totally on you, however, you can buy the current Bullet 350 as the new update won’t be major update that’ll bring in new features or anything else. It’ll just be an platform, chassis, and powertrain change.
