In the coming months, the Indian Market is going to experience big 7 Seater Car Launches happening in the coming months. These new 7-seater cars are big updates that will see them getting exterior and interior changes, and some addition of new features.
Kia India is launching the next generation Kia Carnival which basically is an facelift update in the Korean market, but in India it’ll be launched as an New Generation update. It’s almost like a home on wheels because of how much comfortable the seats are in this MPV. It has four rows with captain seats in second-row which are similar to Kia EV9. Kia offers the Carnival with a V6 Engine internationally, expect the 2.2 L Diesel Engine to be offered, while it’s possible Kia could replace the V6 Engine in India with the 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine.
The Carnival has features like dual 10.25-inch display, ventilated and heated seats, a single-pane sunroof, and a panoramic sunroof, 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, and so much more. The Carnival doesn’t have any direct rivals as it’s the only MPV in the segment, and it’ll continue to be the best-selling MPV in its own category. We expect to learn more about the new India-bound Carnival in the coming weeks.
Tata Motors showcased the 1.5 L 4 Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine at the Auto Expo 2023 which produced 167.67 BHP and 280 NM of torque. The expected options of Transmission could be the 6 Speed Manual, and 7 Speed DCT Transmission. A Petrol option benefits the customers, and the Tata Motors. The Safari on the other hand, starts at Rs. 16.19 Lakh for Manual, Automatic at Rs. 20.69 Lakh, Sunroof at Rs. 19.39 Lakh, and Rs. 22.49 Lakh for the ADAS variant. With the launch of the Turbo Petrol engine, the SUV could become even more affordable by Rs. 1 Lakh making it accessible to wider audience.
The Safari has some big features like 2-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, 12.3-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with navigation, powered front seats, ventilated seats, powered tailgate, and so much more. Moreover, the amount of space it has on offer is insane. You could literally stretch your body as much as your want for your comfort. It’s rivals like the Hyundai Alcazar, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector all has more sales than the Harrier/Safari because of the fuel options.
MG Motors was spied testing the Gloster Facelift in India few days ago. From the spy shots, one thing is clear is that it’s a rebadged Maxus D90, or LDV D90 given if you look at the Gloster’s history. MG Gloster Facelift very identical to those models where design is concerned. Moreover, the LDV D90 was showcased earlier this year in Australia and New Zealand. So, if we take the Maxus D90 in consideration, the Gloster Facelift will feature new design for the front, and rear with significant changes to the interiors.
The Gloster Facelift has become more bigger with dimensions – 5214 MM in length, 2016 MM in width, and 1876 MM. When compared to the outgoing version, the Gloster measured – 4985 MM in length, 1926 MM in width, and 1867 MM in height. The Gloster Facelift has grew incredibly longer by 229 MM, wider by 90 MM, and taller by 9 MM. As for the wheelbase, it’s the same between the current and facelift version, and in case it’s increased, it’s likely to be because of added bodywork – front and rear.
Talking about the design, the front features massive grille with block patterns, and this grille houses two vertical LED elements which are encased by orange element for top trims. Then there is the two slim LED DRLs connected by LED light bar, and below is the tri-cube LED headlights positioned vertically which now look much better than it does on the outgoing version. The Maxus has a large logo on the bonnet, and it’s very much going to be replaced by the “Morris Garages” lettering emblem, and an MG logo at the center of the grille.
The interiors features a new infotainment system, redesigned dashboard and center console, two new rotary dials for drive modes, and 4×4 selector, but retains the slimmer AC vents, and the steering wheel. As for the powertrains, MG offers 2.2 L Single Turbo, and Twin-Turbo Engine mated to 8 Speed Torque Converter Automatic in India, and will probably continue to offer the same option.
As for launch, the Gloster could end-up launching in the mid-to-late 2024.
Toyota is confirmed to launch the next generation update for the most popular SUV in the Indian Market, the Toyota Fortuner. Toyota also confirmed that the powertrain they’ll be using is the diesel paired with 48V mid-hybrid tech to reduce emissions and increase fuel efficiency.
So, the new Toyota Fortuner will feature big exterior changes like at the front it’ll get the semi-hexagon shape grille with three horizontal slats and new sharper looking LED headlights with thinner and sleeker looking LED DRLs with in the headlamp unit. The side profile will most likely look the same except it’ll sport new set of alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it’s likely the new Fortuner will get connected LED taillamps and new bumper design both the front and the rear.
Focusing on the interiors, it’s possible it will get slight change in dashboard design to accomodate a bigger 10.25-inch infotainment system, a much more thinner AC vents and it’s possible the instrument cluster would still be the same as before. In second row, Toyota could offer captain seats since a 6 or 7-STR option is going around many bigger SUVs.
Toyota had recently launched the mild-hybrid tech for Fortuner in South Africa. Toyota used a 48V mild-hybrid tech and paired it to a 2.8 L Diesel Engine. The system is designed to offer enhanced torque assist, smoother start/stop functions, regenerative braking, and up to 10 percent better fuel efficiency compared to diesel-only powertrains.
Mahindra is working on the new Bolero Neo Plus for quite some time now. You may have already seen the leak images of the car on the internet, how it’s going to look, and what engines are going to power the Neo Plus. But recently, an Type Approval Certificate got leaked, that had technical information of the car. The Bolero Neo Plus will come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 118.35 bhp which is 11.83 bhp less than the Thar and Scorpio Classic.
The Bolero Neo Plus in economy mode will get it’s power reduced to 92.71 bhp. It’ll be available in 7 variants – P4, P4 7-str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7-str, P10 (R) 7-str, and an Ambulance variant P4 with Stretcher. The Bolero Neo Plus will continue to be a rear-wheel-drive and it’ll an affordable version of the Scorpio Classic. The Bolero Neo Plus was expected to launch back in September 2023, but instead the ambulance version of the Bolero Neo Plus was launched, and now we expected it to launch in the early 2024.
