Maruti Ertiga 1.5 Petrol BS-VI Launched in India, Check Prices

Maruti Suzuki has recently updated a number of its cars to BS-VI technology.WagonR, Alto, Swift, Dzire are the ones to be upgraded to BS-Vi.Other carmakers are also consistently testing their BS-6 vehicles in India.

Maruti Ertiga is offered with a variety of engine options out of which is a 1.5-litre petrol engine which has been made BS-VI now.The overall prices has also gone up as well.It is now Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 10,000 premium over the BS-IV trims.The 1.5 L K15 smart hybrid petrol engine is mated to 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic options.

This 4 cylinder motor makes about 103 BHP of power and 138 NM of maximum torque.The claimed fuel economy of petrol 1.5 manual is 19.34 kmpl and for the automatic variants it is 18.69 kmpl.This makes it one of the most fuel efficient petrol MPVs of India.

Ertiga bs6 petrol

Along with this, there are two diesel engines on offer which includes 1.3 L DDiS prodding 200 NM of torque with power drawing from 5 speed manual gearbox and 1.5 L DDiS 225 unit churning out 225 NM of peak torque.This gets teamed up with 6 speed manual gearbox with claimed mileage of 24.2 kmpl.The 1.5 L Diesel engine is expected to be updated to BS-VI if there is demand for diesel variants.

Recently only, Maruti has launched the CNG option in Ertiga in VXi as well as Tour M variants.These variety of engine options are a reason why Ertiga is the best selling 7 seater MPV of India.Recently, it has crosses 61,000 sales figures in India that milestone has just come in a matter of 8 months.

This is the second generation of the MPV in India and has received a host of interior and exterior changes to make it more refreshing and up to date.Its sales figures ranges between 6500 and 8500 units per months with the production being carried out at Maruti’s Manesar plant.

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga top model offers features like automatic ac, 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system, 15 inch alloy wheel, push start stop button with smart keyless entry, cooled cupholders, 3D LED tail lamps, electrically adjustable and foldable outside rear view mirrors among others.

Maruti Ertiga is build up on HEARTECT platform and is loaded with safety features like front fog lamps, Hill Hold Assist, Electronic Stability Programme, ABS with EBD and BA, ISOFIX child seat mounts, High Speed Alert System, Speed Sensing Automatic Door Lock, Dual Frontal Airbags, Rear Parking Sensors with Camera.

Maruti Ertiga comes in a total of 5 colour options and has got a 2 years and 40,000 kms warranty.It comes in a 7 seater configuration with boospace of 209 litres, with 550 L in 5 seater setup and 803 litres with second and third row seats down.Maruti Ertiga rivals the likes of Honda BR-V, Renault Lodgy.It also competes with the likes of Mahindra Marazzo as well and Ertiga will also get a new rival in the form of Renault Triber with Triber’s top end trims competing with the base trims of Ertiga MPV.

Maruti has updated a number of their cars this year and launched the new Wagon R as well.They also have few of them in pipeline of which the most recent will be the Maruti XL6 which is based on Ertiga.It gets slightly different styling compared to standard Ertiga and gets just a single petrol engine options in Alpha and Zeta trims.

Along with this, Maruti will also be introducing their S-Presso micro SUV in September or October 2019 which was showcased at Auto Expo 2018 in the form of future S concept.Brezza and Ignis will also be receiving a minor facelift in festive season.Maruti Suzuki will be showcasing a number of cars at the Auto Expo 2020 next year at Greater Noida with major focus on EV technology.
