Skoda Karoq was showcased back at Auto Expo 2020 along with BS6 petrol models of the other Skoda lineup.The carmakers have planned couple of new and facelift models for next few months and the Karoq will be first among them to be launched in India.
In terms of exterior design, it looks like mini Skoda Kodiak.Upfront it features LED headlamps with DRLs and Skoda’s signature front grille.The SUV features big size roof rails and stylish 17 inch alloys.Rear look is accentuated by C-shaped LED tail lamps and big rear bumper.
The interior of Skoda Karoq will features beige leather seat upholstery with the use of high quality material all around.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system is placed at the centre of the dashboard and it also features all digital instrument cluster.
In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,382 mm in length, is 1814 mm wide and has a height of 1605 mm.Wheelbase is 2683 mm while the ground clearance is 200 mm.Boot space with all seats up is 521 L.

It will borrow the platform from Volkswagen T-Roc and will be offered in only a single petrol engine without manual gearbox and no Diesel engine will be available.The 1.5 litre TSI turbocharged petrol unit paired to 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox makes 148 BHP of power and 250 NM of peak torque.There won’t be 4×4 version on offer in India.

It will be available in a variety of colour options which will be revealed at the time of launch of the SUV on May 6th.As per the latest news, online bookings for Skoda Karoq have already begun in India at token sum of Rs. 50,000.
Skoda Karoq is expected to carry ex showroom price tag of Rs. 23 Lakhs.Once launched, it will take on the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen T-Roc, MG Hector Plus and upcoming Hyundai Creta 7 Seater 2021 and Citroen C5 Aircross.
