Skoda Karoq will be offered in 6 single tone colours and 1 feature rich variant
Skoda Karoq official bookings have already commenced a few weeks back at a token sum of Rs. 50,000.The SUV which was planned to be launched in India in April 2020 has been delayed due to coronavirus pandemic and will be launched soon after the lockdown is lifted in the country.
Like its cousin, Volkswagen T-Roc, Skoda Karoq will be available in a single feature loade trim.Some of the top features of Skoda Karoq are 9 airbags, Digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, 2 zone automatic ac, push start button with remote keyless entry, heated front seats, rain sensing wipers, LED ambient lighting, 12 way powered driver seat with memory function, TPMS and automatic headlamps.
Under the hood will be 1.5 litre TSI 4 cylinder petrol engine with 148 BHP and 250 NM of peak torque.It gets paired to 7 speed DSG automatic gearbox with a top speed of 202 kmph and can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 9 seconds.It won’t be getting a diesel powertrain.Skoda Auto India’s Karoq will not get all wheel drive variant.

In terms of dimensions, it measures 4,382 mm, has a width of 1,814 mm, height is 1,605 mm and the wheelbase if 2,638 mm.Boot space is 521 L with all seats up and is expandable upto 1,810 kg.Ground clearance is rated at 200 mm.
Also in Euro NCAP safety test, the 5 seater India bound SUV scored a perfect 5 star rating.
Colour schemes includes Candy White, Quartz grey, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, Magnetic Brown and Magic Black.
Skoda Karoq will be competing with the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson
Skoda Karoq is expected to carry ex showroom price tag of Rs. 23 Lakhs.Once launched, it will take on the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, Volkswagen T-Roc, MG Hector Plus and upcoming Hyundai Creta 7 Seater 2021 and Citroen C5 Aircross.
