2020 Nissan Kicks BS 6 Colours, Key Features Revealed

Nissan Kicks will be available in 7 variants including 2 CVT automatic trims

Nissan Kicks BS 6 will be available across 2 engine options, 5 manual and 2 automatic trims and a total of 9 exterior colour shades.Also, it loses the 1.5 litre Diesel engine for 1.3 litre turbo petrol engine while the 1.5 litre petrol unit, earlier available as well, is still on offer.

The 1.5 litre H4K petrol engine puts out 105 BHP @ 5600 RPM and 142 NM @ 4000 RPM of torque.It comes in only 5 speed manual transmission in XL and XV variants.

While the all new 1.3 litre HR13 DDT turbo petrol makes the best in segment figures of 154 BHP and 254 NM.It is available in both 6 speed manual and 8 speed X-Tronic CVT option.6 Speed manual transmission option of this engine comes in XV, XV Premium, XV Premium (O) while for 8 speed automatic, variants includes XV and XV premium.

Nissan India also claims that this new 1.3 L turbocharged unit comes with dual variable timing system that not only reduces emissions but also provides more torque at the lower rpms.As compared to the existing CVTs available in the market, this X-Tronic CVT of Nissan Kicks is believed to be 40% more efficient.Also for better performance and mileage, Kicks have borrowed cylinder coating technology from Nissan GTR.

This new engine replaces the old 1.5 litre K9K Diesel engine which used to churn 109 BHP @ 3850 RPM and 240 NM @ 1750 RPM.Here are the specs of all the engines of Nissan Kicks including BS 4 and BS 6.

A total of 9 colour schemes are on offer, which includes 6 monotone and 3 dual tone paint options.The dual tone colours schemes can be had only with the top spec XV Premium Optional model.Nissan India has also removed orange as well as white plus orange dual tone paint scheme.

Coming to the technical specifications, it has got best in segment ground clearance of 210 mm while the turning circle is also least at 5.2 m.With the BS 6 update, the carmakers claimed for a better ride quality for Nissan Kicks thanks to advanced I-SPVT technology.

Some of the top features of Nissan Kicks are cruise Control, Nissan connect with smartwatch connectivity, remote engine start, pre cool, push button start, leather wrapped dual tone interior, automatic AC and rear AC bents, cooled glovebox, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system.

In terms of safety, it get loaded with 4 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, hill launch assist, electronic stability programme, vehicle stability management system, traction control, 360 degree surround view camera with front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, rain sensing automatic wipers, front fog lamp with cornering function. 

As for the interior, the updated Nissan Kicks will get leather wrapped premium dual tone (brown and black) cabin with leather-wrapped soft touch dashboard. The vehicle will offer auto AC with rear AC vents, cooled glove box, unique twin parcel shelf and electrically adjustable ORVMs. 

Nissan Kicks BS 6 pricing will be announced in the next few days and the key rivals of the SUV are Renault Captur, Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
