Skoda Octavia RS 245 stock of 200 units has been completely sold out
Skoda Auto India officially commenced the bookings for the performance sedan on March 1, 2020 at a bookings amount of Rs. 1 Lakh and it was launched at a price sticker of Rs. 35.99 Lakhs (Ex showroom).
Skoda Octavia RS 245 was imported as a completely built unit and some of the units of Octavia RS 245 has also started making it to the dealership a month back only.The 200 units of the sedan allotted for India in 2020 has been sold out.
Even in 2017, when Octavia RS was launched, the stock of 300 unit was sold within the no months and due to high demand, the carmakers brought another badge of Octavia RS 245 in 2018 of 200 units, and all the 500 units were booked within 13 months.
And same is the case with the 2020 stock of the Octavia vRS, with the available 200 units being finished off in just less than 2 months inspite of around 10 lakh costlier than the prevues badge brought in India
Skoda Octavia RS 245 features butterfly gloss black front grille with vRS logo, smoked Quadra headlamps with LED DRLs.Whats adds to the sporty appearance of the car is stylish 225 / 40 R18 dual tone alloys along with LED tail lamps, boot spoiler, exhaust tips.
The boot space of Octavia RS 245 is 590 litre, which further expands unto 1,580 litres upon folding down the rear seats.As compared to standard Octavia, the RS 245 is slightly lower with 140 mm ground clearance.
Coming to the interior, it features black Alcantara seat upholstery, LED ambient lighting, dual tone automatic climate control, auto dimming IRVM and a sporty flat bottomed steering wheel.At the centre of dashboard is a 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with all the connectivity options.The instrument panel is also fully digital while the front seats gets 12 way electric adjustment.
Some of the other top features are powered tailgate, 9 airbags, auto parking, hands free tailgate opening, panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring system, push start stop button with keyless entry system.
Skoda Octavia RS 245 can be had in a total of 5 colour schemes which includes Candy White, Rallye Green, Corrida Red, Race Blue and Magic Black.
Under the hood, the Czech sedan gets a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine with 242 BHP @ 5000 – 6700 RPM and peak torque of 370 NM @ 1600 RPM.It gets mated to 7 speed DSG automatic transmission.The 1984 cc accelerates from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds and the maximum speed is rated at 250 kmph.
The first unit of Skoda Octavia RS 245 has been delivered in green zone, Goa, which is among some of the states which haven’t reported any coronavirus case in the last few weeks.The first unit of Skoda Octavia RS 245 delivered to a customer in Goa was of Race Blue colour.
Skoda India will soon launch the updated version of Skoda Superb in the form of facelift, while Rapid will get a BS 6 1.0 L TSI petrol engine.Along with this, a new model, Karoq is also planned to launch among these two updated models.
