Third Generation BMW X6 to be launched in India tomorrow

The most recent launch by the carmakers for India was flagship sedan, 8 series.

BMW India will launched the X6 SUV Coupe tomorrow in India. In 2020, X6 will enter into its third generation. Official bookings for the new BMW are already underway. Earlier scheduled to be launched in India in first half of 2020, the introduction of this Coupe was delayed due to coronavirus.

The design looks similar to the other BMW cars with illuminated kidney grille and LED laser light. Standard 20-inch alloys are available and bigger 21 inchers are also optional. Moving to the rear, it witnesses sloping windshield and sharp LED tail lamps.

Under the hood, there will be a 3.0 L petrol engine although there is a more powerful 4.4 litre for international version but won’t make it to India. The Indian-spec 3.0 litre petrol 6 cylinder engine churns out 335 BHP and 450 NM of peak torque. It is mated to 8 speed automatic transmission channeling power to all wheels via the BMW’s xDrive 4wd setup.

There will be two variants on offer – xLine and M Sport. xLine will have more of chrome elements while to showcased the sportiness of M Sport, glossy black inserts can can be seen on the front grille, roof rails, cladding apart from M Sport steering and differently designed alloys.

In terms of features, both the variants are likely to get the same set of equipments. Some of the best features includes 20” alloys, 12.3 inch dual screen setup, Harman Kardon Sound System, configurable ambient lighting, 360 degree camera, powered tailgate, heads up display with loads of information, 4 zone auto ac, wireless charging at front among others.

It will brought to India as a completely built unit (CBU) and is expected to carry a starting price tag of Rs. 1 cr. When launched, it will rekindle it rivalry with Porsche Cayenne coupe, Mercedes GLE Coupe and Audi Q8.
