Toyota India have finally upgraded their premium Camry sedan to Bharat Stage 6.The price increase from BS 4 to BS 6 is Rs. 93,000 with being priced at Rs. 36.95 Lakhs.With the update to the latest emission norms, no changes have been made to the interior or exterior or feature list as well.
Under the hood, Camry Hybrid gets 2.5 L petrol-hybrid 4 cylinder engine with displacement of 2487 cc.The unit puts out 176 BHP @ 5700 RPM and 221 NM @ 3600 RPM.It gets 245 V nickel metal hydride battery and permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with 119 BHP and 202 NM.It gets mated to 6 speed CVT gearbox and also features regenerative braking, engine stats stop function, paddle shifters.
In the ASEAN NCAP test conducted in 2018, Toyota Camry Hybrid scores perfect 5 star rating.Built on TNGA platform, the luxury sedan is assembled at the automaker’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka.
