Ahead of it’s launch,Ciaz facelift 2018 has been spied undisguised inside out.These images has given us a better look at all the updates that have been made to the sedan.
Ciaz 2018 features redesigned headlamps with LED DRLs with a new mesh grille with chrome accents on it’s edges.Fog lamps housing is new which have chrome surrounds with front bumper having a wide air dam.A chrome strip moves along the window line and chrome door handles.New Ciaz sports dual-tone alloys wheel in a multi-spoke pattern.It also flaunts ORVMs with integrated turn signals.Rear profile of the sedan has been reworked in the form of revised tail lamps and chrome garnish on the boot lid.Reflector strips are placed separately with chrome surrounds connected by a single horizontal line.
The cabin of 2018 Ciaz has a dual tone black and beige upholstery with a faux wood trim.Interior of ciaz remains the same but adds cruise controls in selected variants with a revised multi-information display.Chrome trims can be seen around gear level,instrument cluster and 3-spoke steering wheel.
Talking about engine options,initially Ciaz Facelift 2018 will be powered by a new 1.5-litre petrol engine with mild hybrid technology and tried and tested 1.3-litre fiat sourced diesel motor.Tranmission unit will be a 5-speed manual gearbox and automatic.A 6-speed manual transmission is also in work.New in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine with SHVS technology will be introduced later.
The Maruti Ciaz facelift will be launched in mid-August 2018.Also selected Nexa dealerships have started accepting bookings for the new Ciaz.The booking amount has been set at Rs. 21,000.
In terms of pricing,Ciaz undercuts all the sedans in this segment.A slight increase in price is expected given new stylish exteriors and premium features add-on.
