Hyundai Alcazar debut on April 6, will Rival Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus

Hyundai Alcazar will make global debut on April 6, followed by official launch in May 2021.

Hyundai Alcazar has been spotted testing on multiple occasions revealing exterior and interior changes. Recently only, the manufacturer listed Alcazar on their official website as well and now its confirmed that the 7-seater Hyundai will make its debut on April 6.

Exterior

The exterior design of Alcazar will share a lot of similarities with Creta. While to distinguish Alcazar from its 5 seater version, headlamps design and front grille will be tweaked to make it look sportier. Also wheels will be upsized to 18-inch and has got different styling as well.

While to accommodate the third row of seats, length will be increased and wheelbase is expected to go up as well. Rear section will have an upright stance and tail lamps will be bigger and will draw inspiration from first gen Creta.

Interior

Alcazar will be offered with 6 as well as 7 seater option. The cabin will have a dual tone black and beige environment. The infotainment system will grow in size likely to be around 11 to 11.5 inches. Instrument cluster is expected to be an all digital unit.

New Features

As compared to Creta, some additional features available here will be wireless charging for second row, bigger infotainment system, ADAS technology, front parking sensors, multi colour ambient lighting among others.

Engine Options

Hyundai India will make Alcazar available with the same set of powertrains as that of Creta but they are expected to be offered in higher state of tune. Engine Options are 1.5-litre MPI Petrol, 1.4-litre GDI turbo petrol and 1.5-litre CRDi diesel.

Launch details

Hyundai Alcazar will make debut on April 6 and official launch and price announcement will take place soon after in May 2021.

Price

Expected to be around Rs 1 Lakhs to Rs 1.5 lakhs premium over Creta, Hyundai Alcazar will retail between Rs 11.5 lakhs to Rs 18.7 Lakhs (Ex showroom Price). Alcazar will join the likes of Tata Safari and MG Hector plus and upcoming Mahindra XUV500 which is all set to enter in its new generation.
