Hyundai has released teaser image of it’s upcoming small SUV, named Saga which is to be unveiled at the Sao Paulo Motor Show 2018 next month.This Hyundai’s new concept SUV is an EV concept and will carry Hyundai’s latest design language.These few teasers reveal the exterior of the upcoming Hyundai’s small Saga SUV.
The Saga concept SUV teaser reveal large wheel arches, coupe-like roofline and Hyundai’s signature cascade front grille.There was another teaser which showcase the rear of the micro SUV.The rear of the SUV will be wide and sport styling elements including L-shaped LED tail lamps, reflectors and a large rear bumper.The Saga SUV will be an electric SUV based on i20 styling.
Saga concept which will be revealed on the first media day of Sao Paulo Motor Show will also debut new design language for Hyundai’s upcoming entry level cars.Next-generation Hyundai Grand i10 and XCent of emerging markets including India and Brazil will borrow major design clues from this Saga concept.India will witness the launch of next-gen Grand i10 and Xcent in mid-2020.
Although no information regarding it’s price, engine choices and launch date have been out,however, there are major chances that Saga will be an all electric SUV for the developing markets.This concept SUV from Hyundai is expected to spawn an EV for the developing markets.Hyundai India has already announced that their first EV car and India’s first Electric SUV, Kona is ready to hit the Indian roads in H2 2019.
We expect more details on Hyundai Saga as we come close to the unveiling of the concept SUV at the Brazilian Motor Show 2018.Also Hyundai India is preparing a lot of cars for the year 2020 including 2nd generation Hyundai Creta, Grand i10 and XCent.Price of the Saga based concept SUV is expected to begin from Rs. 5 Lakhs in India and will make way to India in 2021.
