Hyundai Staria MPV looks futuristic, has a really spacious cabin and comes with multiple seating and engine options
Hyundai Staria MPV has been finally revealed via the official images. Staria will be a replacement model for the Starex MPV sold in a number of countries. It will go up against Toyota Hiace.
Hyundai Staria Exterior
Hyundai Staria has a futuristic ‘spaceship-like design’. Upfront, it features wide chrome mesh grille incorporating LED headlights on both the corners. DRLs stretch horizontally across the width of the hood it has got a short slanting hood.
Coming to the sides, the MPV rides on 18-inch alloys. The window belt line is lowered and window size is huge to improve the visibility.
The rear section is simple. It gets vertically stacked LED tail lights, large rear windscreen. The rear bumper is lowered to help passengers easily load and unload the cargo.
Hyundai Staria Interior
Staria is designed with ‘inside-out’ approach as per Hyundai, which reflect recent trend shift in consumer needs that prioritise the use of cabin space.
There is a centrally stacked 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system. Instrument cluster is a digital affair and the MPV gets button type shift lever. 64-colour ambient light adds to the bling.
Storage space are galore in the MPV. They are available on the top of overhead console, right under the cluster, top and bottom of front fascia along with a big centre console space which comes equipped with cup holders, USB ports and other additional storage area.
The MPV comes in a variety of seating right from 2-seater variant to 11 seater configuration as well. Other seating options are 7 and 9 seater trims. Bench seating configuration along with multi row seating will be offered in the lower trims.
Staria Premium (top of the line variant) 7 seater comes with one touch relation mode for the second row passengers which recline the seats to a posture that nicely disperse the occupant’s weight over the seat for better overall body balance.
Hyundai Staria Features
Top features are electric sliding doors, powered seats with memory function, 64 colour ambient lighting, 18-inch alloys, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, digital instrument cluster, LED tail lights, auto ac, leather seats among others.
Hyundai Staria Engine Options
The official engine variety of the Hyundai Staria MPV is yet to be revealed while there is 3.5 badge seen which means the upcoming Hyundai might get 3.5-litre engines.
Hyundai Staria Launch Date in India
Hyundai is unlikely to bring Staria to India. Hyundai is going to launch Alcazar 7 seater in India in the next few weeks along with a micro SUV which will be introduced in India in the last quarter of this year.
