Mahindra XUV300 AMT has been launched in India.Presently, it comes only in Diesel engine variants while the petrol trims are likely to receive the automatic transmission option on a later stage.
For the Diesel engine, it comes only in top end trims including W8 and W8(O).The W4 and W6 diesel variants will continue to be powered by 6 speed manual gearbox.The AMT gearbox is a Magneti-Marelli sourced 6 speed transmission which comes with the same power and torque figures as that of manual counterpart.It makes 115 BHP of power and massive 300 NM of torque.
XUV300 AMT will compete with Brezza’s diesel and Nexon’s diesel automatic as these are the two apart from XUV300 offering diesel automatic combination.The price of W8 and W8 optional automatic is Rs. 70,000 dearer to the corresponding manual models.W8 diesel AMT costs INR 11.50 Lakhs while the top end loaded trim W8 Opt costs INR 12.69 Lakhs (Ex Showroom).
XUV300 AMT comes only in 3 colour options and it also misses out on dual tone exterior paint options as well.The colour options available for AMT are Pearl White, Red Rage and Aqua Marine.
Mahindra XUV300 was launched back in February 2019 and was at time offered in only 1.2 petrol and 1.5 diesel manual.The compact SUV has been doing very well for the car makers with more than 5,000 units being sold in May 2019.With the introduction of AMT, the sales are likely to receive a marginal increase.
