Now after Tata Nexon in the compact SUV segment, Mahindra XUV300 becomes the second vehicle in the segment to achieve the perfect rating. Also it has got 4 stars rating in child occupant protection which is pretty impressive as well. What differentiates the three vehicles to achieve 5 stars rating is that XUV300 has registered the overall high scores among all of them.Apart from this, the side impact performance of XUV300 has also been rated at 5 stars.

Commenting on this achievement, Rajan Wadhera, President-Automotive, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. said, “This is a proud moment for Mahindra as the 5-Star rating reiterates our unstinted commitment towards safety. Today’s conscious buyers rate safety as a top priority while making their purchase decision and we have designed the XUV300 to be one of the safest vehicles in India. I am sure that this recognition will further spur us as well as the Indian automotive industry to achieve similar safety standards for the entire range of vehicles on Indian roads”.

In the adult protection, XUV300 scored 16.42 points out of 17 as compared to 16.13 points of 17 by recently tested Tata Altroz. While for child occupant protection, the scores are still better than Altroz which is stated at 37.44 out of 49 while Altroz has got 29 points in the same category.

In this report, the head, neck and knee protection for the adult protection was rated good as well as chest protection of front passengers which was also reported good as well. While for the driver, it was rated adequate. The overall structure as well as footwell was rated stable by Global NCAP during the crash.
