Maruti Suzuki Future-o is a SUV with coupe like design and this kind of design is first time produced by Maruti Suzuki.With this, Maruti Suzuki will target mid size SUVs including Creta, Seltos.
Maruti Suzuki will be showcasing a number of present as well as future product lineup which is just two weeks away from now.Also today they have released the first sketch of their new concept car – Maruti Suzuki Futuro-e.Maruti says that this is a SUV coupe and this is the first coupe-SUV design by Maruti Suzuki.
Since SUV segment is growing in India at a tremendous rate and more and more customers are opting for SUVs, so Maruti Suzuki did a detailed study of both India as well as global design trends and brought up this SUV-coupish concept.As per Maruti Suzuki, with this Concept Futuro-e, they have taken into consideration the evolving desires of the country’s aspirational youth.Also, Maruti Suzuki mentions that the Futuro-e concept is a vision for India’s future e-mobility.It will be away from Maruti’s conventional designs and will have futuristic and modern appeal.

Exclusively crafted details complimented by a unique paint finish accentuated with dramatic light interplay creates a strong sense of visual movement around the car. It’s simple yet powerful design and futuristic light signature in front and rear, builds a captivating visual connect with the modern automobile ecosystem.”

“Pegged as an Indian car with global sensibilities, Concept FUTURO-e takes into consideration the evolving desires of country’s aspirational youth. Concept FUTURO-e tastefully draws inspiration from geo-organic structural forms occurring in nature. Its beauty is evident from its simplicity and magnificent detailing.”
Further, he added, “The design of Concept FUTURO-e is a fascinating fusion of a coupé with a SUV. It is a significant departure from the mainstream SUV architecture and is expected to raise the design bar of Utility Vehicles in India.”
As we see in the teaser, the car has got a coupish design but will still retains the SUV looks.The production spec car will feature a bold and muscular front section.With the Future-e, something distinctive will be offered to the customers apart from the present lineup of Maruti Suzuki in India.Maruti Suzuki back in 2018 teased Futuro-S concept which we see today’s S Presso by the car makers and retained a number of details from the teaser.
The SUV when launched will find itself in a heated competition dominated by Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta with other rivals like Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and other carmakers like Volkswagen and Skoda are planning to target this segment and they will showcase them at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.With this SUV, Maruti will be offering 1.5 litre petrol mild hybrid engine which currently powers the Ertiga, XL6, Ciaz and will also find its way soon to Vitara Brezza and S-Cross.Even it will come with a 1.5 L BS6 compliant Diesel engine, since all the rival vehicles do offer and not making it a petrol-only offering in the BS6 era.
Maruti Suzuki has already enjoyed success with its Vitara Brezza and mini SUV, S Presso and surely their bold and muscular styling is one of the reasons for their high sales figures.The new SUV-coupe upcoming Maruti car will surely gain a lot of attention as. It brings a fresh global design perspective to the Indian landscape and could also pave way for future electric cars by Maruti Suzuki.
