MG cars now have a waiting period upto 3 months – Here’s the reason

MG Motor India cites increased bookings for their cars as the reason for the long waiting period.

MG Motors India have announced that the delivery timeline for existing bookings, across all variant options (which means, for all Morris Garages cars) is estimated to be between 2 to 3 months. Customers are advised

For this long waiting period, MG Motors have mentioned increased demand as the reason while ongoing shortages of semi conductor could also be amongst the reasons for the same. Some of the popular upcoming car launches including Mahindra XUV500 and Scorpio have also be adjourned due to the same reason.

MG Hector and Hector Plus have an compiled average monthly sale of 3,200 units.

MG Motor India commenced their Indian innings with their Hector SUV that proved to be quite successful and recently in 2021, it got a mild interior and exterior facelift as well. Other cars from the stable are Hector Plus 6 and 7 seater, ZS EV and Gloster SUV.

The next car for the carmakers would be another SUV that will enter mid size SUV segment which will see new competitors coming in the next few months. Astor will take on the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and upcoming VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq. The SUV will be introduced by September 2021.
