New generation Honda City is just a few days away from rekindling its rivalry with the segment car while the facelifted Verna introduced back in March 2020 is gaining quick popularity. Here is a comparison of Honda City and Hyundai Verna.
Honda City measures 4,549 mm long, 1,748 mm wide, 1,489 mm tall and wheelbase is 2600 mm. Boot space of new Honda city is lower by 4 litres at 506 L while turning radius of the sedan is 5.4 m. On the other hand, Hyundai Verna is 4,440 mm long, 1,729 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall. Boot capacity is 480 Litres.

Verdict
Honda City has been always the spacious car in its segment and with increase in overall specifications, it has got to offer much more space inside the cabin.
Honda City and Hyundai Verna features LED headlamps with DRLs but the one those on City really look stunning. Hyundai Verna features cascading grille while with the use of single slat front chrome grille, Honda City looks pretty neat.
The diamond cut alloy wheels of Hyundai Verna are much attractive than Thailand-spec Honda City’s RS alloys which the Honda City in India will ride on. Outside door handles of Verna also comes in chrome treatment.
Both the sedans features LED tail lamps but the one in Honda City with Z-Shape looks slightly better than that of Hyundai Verna
While Hyundai Verna has a more stylish appeal, Honda City is inclined towards providing a premium design and looks like mini Civic.
Honda City offers only dual tone black and beige theme while the Verna can be had with either dual tone or all black sporty single tone theme.
Both the sedans features 8-inch infotainment system surrounded by ac vents. Steering wheel of Honda City looks much more sporty than that of Hyundai Verna.
While the Honda city which displays G-Force Meter in instrument panel is new but the digital instrument cluster of Verna facelift has much better appeal and is more informative.
For the convenience of the rear passengers, ac vents are provided and three adjustable headrest for Honda city which the South Korean sedan misses out on.
Honda City is available with one petrol and one Diesel engine while the Hyundai Verna comes with 2 petrol engines (one of them being turbo petrol) and a Diesel engine.

Petrol Engine Verdict
Honda City gets 1.5-litre I-DTEC Diesel engine with output figures of 99 BHP and 200 NM. Claimed fuel efficiency for this mill is 24.1 kmpl and it gets option of only 6 speed manual gearbox.
Hyundai Verna with 1.5-litre U2 CRDi Diesel engine is more powerful as well as more fuel efficient than the City’s Diesel engine and also gets the option of manual as well as automatic gearbox.
