New Petrol Engine introduced in Audi Q5 2018;Here are all the details


The petrol version of Audi Q5 2018 has been launched in India at a introductory price of Rs. 55.27 Lakhs(Ex-Showroom,Delhi).The 2018 Q5 diesel engine was introduced earlier this year in January.The second generation Audi Q5 will now include the same 2.0-litre TFSI engine that also powers the Audi Q7,which produces 248 bhp of power and develops 370 Nm of torque.This Q5 petrol engine is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission and is also available in Quattro All Wheel Drive.The 2.0 litre engine propels the Q5 from 0 to 100kmph in a claimed 6.3 seconds, and onwards to a top speed of 237kmph.

In terms of looks,design and features offered,it is the same as the diesel powered one.Only the difference is in the badging where the diesel variant of Audi Q5 2018 comes with 35 TDI at the rear while the petrol car has 45 TFSI badging.Also the petrol Q5 has got same 5-spoke alloys along with chrome front grille with stylish LED headlamps and integrated LED DRLs.

Similarly,the cabin design and features remains untouched.It continues with same black and beige dual tone interiors with wooden inserts on dash and centre fascia.The Q5 uses a 8.3-inch system which is non-touchscreen using rotary knobs which is paired to Bang and Olufsen 3D sound system.Another highlight is the 12.3-inch large instrument cluster with information including distance to empty,average speed,fuel consumption,maps,music,contacts,etc.It also comes with smartphone integration, navigation, 10GB storage space for your music, three-zone climate control, wireless charging, intelligent voice dialogue system, cruise controls, power-adjustable front seats, leather upholstery.

The SUV also safety features like rear view camera, park assist, hill descent assist, 8 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, electromechanical parking brake, and more.

The new Audi Q5 2018 petrol motor will be direct competitor to a host of mid-size SUV with petrol engine offering including Mercedes Benz GLC and BMW X3.Although the presence of petrol engine gives Q5 2018 a hand up against Volvo XC60,which is diesel only.
