Renault Triber will get 5 speed AMT transmission
Renault Triber was launched last year in India on August 28, 2019.At the time of launch, it was available with only petrol-manual combination and now the carmakers will launch the automatic transmission option for the MPV next week with the same petrol mill.
At the 2020 Auto Expo, among a number of other Renault cars, Triber AMT was also showcased and finally it has got a launch date.As per the latest news, Triber automatic will be launched on May 18, one day after the countrywide lockdown is expected to be lifted.
The bookings for the same will start on the same day and will be on display in the Renault dealerships.
Under the hood, Triber features a BS 6 1.0 litre Energy 3 cylinder petrol engine with 72 BHP @ 6250 RPM of power and 96 NM @ 3500 RPM of maximum torque.The claimed fuel efficiency for currently available 5 speed manual transmission is 20.5 kmpl while for automatic gearbox, it is expected to be around 19 kmpl.
Along with this, Renault Triber will soon get 1.0 L turbo petrol engine with 99 BHP and 160 NM of torque.It will be available with both manual and automatic transmission.It is expected to be introduced in next few months.
Renault Triber is a 7 seater MPV which is built up on CMF-A+ platform.The carmakers will also introduce Kiger compact SUV by early 2021, although planned to be launched this year but has been delayed due to coronavirus pandemic.
