Renault Triber recently made its world premiere in India and now the launch of this 7 seater MPV has been confirmed for August 28, 2019.The production of this sub4 metre MPV have begin from today and the official bookings for Triber will be open at a token amount of Rs. 11,000 August 17 onwards.
Renault Triber comes with the tagline – Space for Everything and will be positioned between Renault Kwid and recently launched Renault Duster Facelift.It will go up against Maruti Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Datsun Go Plus and upcoming WagonR 7 seater which will go up on sale in India in early 2020.
Underpinning the Renault Triber will be modified version of highly rigid, strong and flexible CMF-A platform which also forms the platform of a number of Renault and Nissan products including the Renault Kwid and Datsun Redi-Go.
In terms of dimensions, it is 3,990 mm long, 1,739 mm wide, 1,643 mm tall and has got a wheelbase of 2,636 mm.Ground clearance is 182 mm which is great while the kerb weight is 942 kg.Tyre size is 165/80 R14.The main highlight of this MPV is its bootspace.It offer 84 litres of cargo area in 7 seater configuration which can be extended upto 320 L and 625 L in 6 seater and 5 seater condition respectively.Not only this, in the cabin, the storage space is upto massive 31 litres.
Renault Triber comes in a total of 5 single tone colour options.It misses out on the dual tone exterior themes.The monotone exterior paint options are Ice Cool White, Moonlight Silver, Electric Blue, Fiery Red and also an unnamed new orange colour.
The exterior design of Renault Triber is very muscular and bold all around.It gets very striking projector headlamps which joins the front grille with three chrome slats.LED DRLs are in the place of fog lamps.It gets big air intakes, faux skid plates.Number of elements which gives it a SUVish look are big size roof rails, body cladding.The side of the vehicle has got 14 inch steel wheel while at the back are eagle shaped sleek and sharp tail lamps.No doubt it is one of the best looking Renault car till date.
Triber gets dual tone seat upholstery and the interior surely looks promising thanks to uniquely designed instrument cluster and beautifully placed infotainment system at the centre of the dashboard.It comes in 7 seater configuration and can be adjusted as per your requirements.The cabin is very well put together and fit and finish of material inside the cabin is top class as well.
Under the hood, it is powered by 1.0 litre 3 cylinder petrol engine generation 71 BHP of power and 96 NM of maximum torque.It draws power through 5 speed manual and automatic option.It misses out on Diesel engine option and will come available in a total of 4 variants.
Some of the top features of this Renault MPV are ac vents for all 3 rows, LED instrument cluster with 8.9 cm multi information display screen, smart card entry, dual gloevbox setup, 12V power socket for 3 rows, push start stop button and 8 inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay, android auto and video play.
Safety equipments are front and curtain airbags (4 airbags), ABS with BED, engine immobiliser, remote central locking, high speed warning alert, 3 point seatbelt for all 3 rows which is also class leading along with reverse parking sensors and camera dan rear wiper and demister.
Renault Triber will be introduced at a very competitive price in India.It is expected to be priced between Rs. 4.4 Lakhs and Rs. 5.8 Lakhs (All Prices, Ex Showroom).
