Skoda Octavia RS 245 Stock (200 units) Sold Out within 2 months in India

Skoda Auto India commenced the bookings for the performance oriented sedan at a token sum of Rs. 1 Lakh.

Skoda Octavia RS 245 has been brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and was launched at a pretty higher price tag of Rs. 35,99,999 (ex showroom).The bookings (www.buyskodaonline.co.in) for RS 245 went underway from March 1, 2020 at 12 noon where 200 units of the sedan were allotted for sale.

Within the two months, the complete stock of Skoda Octavia RS 245 has been sold out.However, interested buyers can still get one as a few orders have also been withdraw as well.Still some of the Skoda dealers in India have a few units of Octavia RS 245.

Skoda Octavia RS has always remained popular among the enthusiast buyers.Even when launched back in 2017, the stock of the sedan got sold out within no time.

Skoda Octavia RS Quick Facts

• Octavia RS was launched in India back on September 1, 2017 at Rs. 24.62 L.The stock of 300 units was sold out within just 1 month (October 17, 2017) thanks to killer price tag.
• Due to high demand, Skoda Auto India imported 200 more units in July 2018 and they were also sold quite rapidly.
• All the 500 units of Skoda Octavia RS were sold off within 13 months (September 2017 – October 2018) and the carmakers instructed the dealers not to accept any more bookings now.
• Now launched again in 2020, the stock of Octavia RS got finished within 2 months!

2020 Skoda Octavia RS front fascia is dominated by butterfly front grille and Audra headlamps with LED daytime running lamp.VRS rides on 225 / 40 18 inch Vega dual tone alloy wheels.It also gets sports chassis which lowers the body of Octavia RS 245 by 15 mm (145 mm ground clearance) as compared to the standard Octavia range in India.

Wing mirrors are also finished in piano black.At the rear, it features twin exhaust, boot mounted spoiler and C shaped LED tail lamps.Boot capacity is 590 litres which is expandable unto 1,580 litres upon folding the rear back seats.

Moving to the cabin, you get black Alcantara sports seats, Skoda’s virtual cockpit system and a flat bottomed steering wheel with paddle shifters.The front two seats are 12 way electrically adjustable with memory function for the driver as well.At the centre of the dashboard is the 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay, android auto, mirror link, navigation, voice commands.

Under the hood, the sedan. Gets 2.0 litre 4 cylinder TSI turbo petrol engine with front wheel drive configuration which is capable of producing 242 bhp @ 5000-6700rpm and peak torque of 370 Nm @ 1600 – 4300 RPM.It gets paired to 7 speed DSG automatic transmission with claimed top speed of 250 kmph and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 6.6 seconds.
