Skoda Rapid Rider
Skoda Rapid facelift was launched back in May 2020 and with the 1.0-litre TSI engine powering the Czech sedan, it comes in a total of 5 variants and one transmission option.
The C-Segment sedan gained instant popularity due to the highly competitive price sticker of the base Rider trim of Skoda Rapid and the carmakers have currently stopped accepting further bookings as of now.
Will be it removed from Rapid lineup? No, the base Rider trim was getting the maximum orders and the carmakers have temporarily halted the bookings for Rider variant.
Skoda India will reopen the bookings for the base trim once all the Rapid Rider variant orders have been delivered. One can expect the bookings to commence again next month onwards.
The price of Skoda Rapid Rider (Rs. 7.49 Lakhs) will remain unchanged since this aspect has resulted in Rapid Rider accounting for 30% of the total sales of sedan.

With the bookings reopening, Skoda will also introduce a new Rapid Rider plus trim which will sit between Rider and Ambition trim. Over the base Rider, it will have alloys, LED daytime running lamps among certain more features.
Also, Skoda Auto India have confirmed to bring 6-speed torque converter automatic and it will be Rs. 1 lakh premium over regular manual trim and likely to be available in Ambition, Onyx, Monte Carlo and Style.
