Tata Altroz was unveiled in India in December 2019.Tata Motors India have loaded Altroz with all the bells and whistles and will surely prove a threat to already established players in the segment.Tata Motors have released another proved ahead of the launch detailing the top features of Altroz.
Tata Altroz is based on IMPACT 2.0 design and looks striking from every angle.Sharp cuts and creases flows along the sides and bonnet and to give the hatchback a premium look, piano black finish has been used.Attention to detailing is awesome.In this video, all the top features and safety equipments of Tata Altroz have been explained which makes it distinctive in certain areas from it rivals.
Tata Altroz rides on 16 inch 185 / 60 laser cut alloy wheels which looks quite good.Piano black finish has been used at the rear as well as for the wing mirrors apart from certain other areas.Like the Tata Nexon, Altroz also gets wearable key which adds to the convenience as it removes the need to carry your keys to open the car.Dual chamber projector headlamps are provided in Tata Altroz which provides excellent visibility and has great throw as well.They also features follow me home headlamps andautomatic headlamps.The LED daytime running lamps are also available and are integrated in front fog lamps.
Tata Altroz is underpinned by highly rigid and flexible ALFA architecture and Tata will bring a number of cars between the length of 3.7 m and 4.3 m with this platform including the H2X mini SUV which will be showcased at Auto Expo 2020.The premium hatchback by Tata Altroz also becomes the second Tata car to secure a perfect 5 stars Global NCAP rating after Nexon.
Along with this, Tata Altroz has got a huge size 345 L of boot space which is the second best in its class and not only this, it has got plenty of storage spaces including 15 litre cooled glovebox, sunglass holder, cup holders, bottle. Holders, umbrella holders, mobile keeping space, magazine pocket, coat hooks.
Tata Altroz also gets ambient lighting around the infotainment system and also footwell lights on driver and co-driver side as well.There is semi digital 7 inch instrument cluster which is quite informative and the 7 inch island type infotainment system by Harman supports android auto, Apple Carplay, rear camera with guidelines, navigation, voice commands and comes with 6 speakers by Harman as well.
The steering wheel of Altroz is also detailed in the video and it is a flat bottomed unit housing audio, telephony and cruise controls.This flat bottomed type steering wheel will also find its way in a number of upcoming Tata cars.
For the comfort and convenience of passengers, front and rear armrest is offered with sliding function for the former.Even a completely flat floor is offered for the rear occupants which adds to the comfort for the middle rear seat passenger.Even a rear ac vent is also available with helps in quick cooling inside the cabin.Along with this, there is 90 degree door opening for all the 4 doors which helps in in and out really easily and quite helpful for the elder passengers as well.
Along with this, a number of other top features of this premium hatchback by Tata includes Cruise controls, Idle start stop, multi drive modes – eco and city, automatic rain sensing wipers, auto foldable outside rear view mirrors among others.
When launched, Tata Altroz will be powered by 1.2 L Revotron petrol engine with 86 PS @ 6000 RPM and 113 NM @ 3300 RPM of torque and 1.5 L Revotorq diesel unit with power and output figures of 90 PS @ 4000 RPM and 200 NM @ 1250 – 3000 RPM.Both are BS-VI compliant and are offered with manual transmission manual.A turbo petrol and DCT automatic variant for petrol is planned for the later half of 2020.Along with this, Tata will also launch electric version of Altroz hatchback in the first half of next year within the price bracket of Rs. 13 Lakhs.
The hatchback has a turning radius of 5 metres, ground clearance is 165 mm with length, width, height being 3990 mm, 1755 mm, 1523 mm respectively.A total of 5 colour paints are on offer including High Street Gold, Skyline Silver, Downtown Red, Midtown Grey and Avenue White.
Tata Altroz is expected to be launched at a introductory price of Rs. 5.5 Lakhs on January 22 and take on the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Maruti Baleno, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz.
