Here is a complete list of top 10 selling vehicles in India as of the month July 2019:
1. Maruti WagonR
This Maruti hatchback is the new top selling car in India in July 2019.Launched back in January 2019, Wagon R has been averaging at around 13,000 units per month and in this month, it has managed to grab 15,062 units.The reasons for high sales of WagonR has to be the availability of a variety of engine options.It rivals the likes of Hyundai Santro, Tata Tiago and is going much better than its competitors.
2. Maruti DZire
Maruti Dzire sales have declined overtime.A total of 12,923 units of Dzire has been sold in the month of July 2019.It gets the option for 1.2 L petrol BS6 engine as well as 1.3 litre fiat sourced Diesel engines.In some of the previous months, it has manage to clock sales of even over 20,000 units.
3. Maruti Swift
Maruti Swift is another car by the car makers which was sometime the highest seller but has received decline in sales since the past few months.Swift has slipped to number 3 spot and for July 2019, the total sales were 12,677 units.Like the Dzire, it is also offered with 1.2 L petrol and 1.3 L Diesel engines.It rivals Tata Tiago and Hyundai Grand i10.
4. Maruti Alto
Another car for Maruti Suzuki which has got massive sales decline.The car which has managed to maintain more than 20,000 units per month has got its sales down to 11,577 units and to no. 4 spot.It has recently got a facelift update along with BS-VI engine as well.It is likely to get a new generation variant in the beginning of 2020.Maruti Alto takes on Datsun Go, Renault Kwid.
5. Maruti Baleno
A total of 10,482 units were retailed in India in the month of July 2019.Rivalling Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Toyota Glanza, Baleno sales have come down to 10,482 units in this month.It has now slipped to spot 5 in the top 10 selling car list.It would be interesting to see how the sales of Baleno fares after the launch of much awaited Tata Altroz.
6. Maruti Eeco
Maruti Eeco has maintained its number 6 spot in terms of overall sales.It becomes the 6th car in the top 10 list and for the month of July 2019, a total of 9,814 units were sold.It has been selling around 8000+ per month.
7. Hyundai Venue
Venue makes its debut in the top 10 selling car list in this month.It also beat Vitara Brezza to become the highest selling compact SUV for the same month.With more than 8500 units being sold in June 2019, its sales have increased upto 9,585 in July 2019 making it the 7th highest selling car of July 2019.Its sales are expected to go up in the next few months.Reasons for its sales figures are Blue link technology, turbo petrol, stylish interiors and exteriors.
8. Maruti Ertiga
Launch back in November 2018, this MPV is selling in big numbers.It has also recently crosses 70,000 units and a total of 9,222 units were retailed in India in July 2019.It gets 8th rank in top 10 selling cars list and has got competitive price, premium interiors and a variety of engine options.Ertiga based XL6 MPV will also likely to get big sales as well.
9. Hyundai i20
Hyundai i20 is a premium hatchback with very plush interiors and best in class safety features.It has made to this list a number of times and ranks number 9 in the top 10 selling cars list.In the same month, the total sales of Hyundai i20 was 9,012 units.
10. Hyundai Creta
Since the past 2 months, Creta sales have declined, courtesy MG Hector and Kia Seltos.Most of the customers are preferring MG Hector in this price segment and Kia Seltos which is entering in the same segment of Creta.The sales of this SUV has declined to 6,585 in July 2019.
